Android Q for Nokia smartphones

Almost all the gadgets that the reborn Finnish company makes come to the market with a pre-installed Android system, distributed through the Android One program. This, one might say, is a kind of analogue of the system that the Pixel themselves receive from Google. Therefore, Nokia has a large list of updated smartphones:

  • Nokia 9 PureView;
  • Nokia 8 Sirocco;
  • Nokia 8.1;
  • Nokia 8
  • Nokia 7 Plus;
  • Nokia 7.1;
  • Nokia 6.1 Plus;
  • Nokia 6.1;
  • Nokia 6 (2018);
  • Nokia 5.1 Plus;
  • Nokia 5;
  • Nokia 4.2;
  • Nokia 3.2;
  • Nokia 3.1 Plus;
  • Nokia 3.1;
  • Nokia 2.1.

Android 10 for Samsung smartphones

Another South Korean brand is now experiencing a period of growth again, as it managed to revise the pricing policy for budget devices, as well as bring to mind the flagship models.

  • Samsung Galaxy Note10;
  • Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10 Lite;
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 9;
  • Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus;
  • Samsung Galaxy A80;
  • Samsung Galaxy A70;
  • Samsung Galaxy A60;
  • Samsung Galaxy A40s;
  • Samsung Galaxy A9s;
  • Samsung Galaxy A9 Star;
  • Samsung Galaxy A9 Star lite;
  • Samsung Galaxy A8s;
  • Samsung Galaxy A6s;
  • Samsung Galaxy S Light Deluxe Edition;
  • Samsung W2019.

Android 10 for OnePlus smartphones

The “flagship killer” should be updated to the freshest Android system in its entirety. Still, the manufacturer produces no more than two smartphones per year. Therefore, the update will reach devices released already in 2017.

  • OnePlus 5;
  • OnePlus 5T;
  • OnePlus 6;
  • OnePlus 6T;
  • OnePlus 7;
  • OnePlus 7 Pro.

Android 10 Q for Xiaomi smartphones

The fleet of Xiaomi smartphones is very large. It’s hard to say for sure that most smartphones will see the coveted system update, although in the case of Xiaomi it doesn’t really matter which version of Android is there. This is because Miui 10 looks almost the same on Android 6 and Android 9. This does not mean that both the first and second systems work identically to each other, but if you do not delve into the details of what most users do, then no one will notice the difference. At the moment, Android Q is planned for the following models:

  • Xiaomi Mi 9;
  • Xiaomi Mi 9 SE;
  • Xiaomi Mi 8;
  • Xiaomi Mi 8 EE;
  • Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro;
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s;
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 3;
  • Redmi K20 Pro;
  • Redmi K20;
  • Redmi Note 7;
  • Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Android 10 (Android Q). which smartphones are guaranteed to get the update?

Do not go to the fortuneteller that dozens of gadgets will be updated. Some manufacturers will distribute the update to Android 10 to the maximum number of devices, while others will get by with a minimal list. Also, some gadgets will receive an update in the first days after its release, while others will drag out almost until the end of 2020.

Android Q for Google Pixel smartphones

These are exactly the devices that will be updated as quickly as possible. Still, these smartphones were originally created to demonstrate the full power of the operating system, as well as test it in the early stages. The update is guaranteed to arrive on the following models:

  • Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL;
  • Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL;
  • Google Pixel 2 and 2 XL.

We can expect Android 10 to appear on the original Pixel and Pixel XL, but we cannot guarantee it will appear on them. However, the come / fail ratio is roughly 99 to 1.

Android 10.List of upgradeable smartphones

Despite the fact that Android Q has not yet been officially presented, there is not much time left before its distribution among smartphones from various manufacturers. At the moment, some device models are content with the beta version of the system, and for several years in a row, not only the owners of Google Pixel are lucky. It is also pleasing that every year a new system with a green robot on board is spreading faster and faster, and to an increasing number of smartphones. Today we will tell you which smartphones will receive 100% Android Q, as well as mention the scandalous Huawei and its menagerie of gadgets, which will be lucky enough to try out the tenth Android.

Android 10 for Huawei and Honor smartphones

The most controversial situation is with smartphones of these companies, and in fact, in general, one of Huawei. The sanctions, the severance of relations with Google, at first completely put an end to the updating of the smartphones of this Chinese company, but after that they reassured us. The manufacturer has ironically promised that it will release a fresh Android Q despite pressure from all sides for the following models:

  • Huawei P30 Pro;
  • Huawei P30;
  • Huawei Mate 20;
  • Huawei Mate 20 Pro;
  • Huawei PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 20 RS;
  • Huawei P30 lite;
  • Huawei P Smart 2019;
  • Huawei P Smart 2019;
  • Huawei P Smart Z;
  • Huawei Mate 20 X;
  • Huawei Mate 20 X (5G);
  • Huawei P20 Pro;
  • Huawei P20;
  • Huawei Mate 10 Pro;
  • Huawei PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 10;
  • Huawei Mate 10.

There are noticeably fewer smartphones of the Honor sub-brand in the list, but this is not even surprising:

  • Honor 20 Lite;
  • Honor 20;
  • Honor 20 Pro.

Which devices will get Android 9

The first devices to beta test this version of the system are Sony Xperia XZ2, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, Nokia 7 Plus, Oppo R15 Pro, Vivo X21, OnePlus 6 and Essential PH-1.

Owners of other smartphones will have to wait for notifications from manufacturers. It can be assumed that Android 9 Pie will not be implemented until next year.

Android 9.0 pie release date and which phones will get it

Google has already unveiled a new version of its Android 9p mobile system. Smartphone manufacturers, in turn, have launched promising updates and companies are slowly showing which devices will receive Android 9.0 Pie first.

Android 9 pie is already officially presented, and the first lucky ones can already install the new version.

This time it was without a revolution. we will not find anything beyond the natural, and the most important news is an additional navigation system that uses gestures and several Google Wellbeing tools.

The manufacturer announced the Android 9 release date in May at a Google conference where they discussed new features, release date and full name.

The exact release date of Android 9 and what changes will be

The exact official release date, or rather the update of your smartphone Samsung, Huawei and so on to Android 9 Pie, is still unknown, but application developers may already start experimenting.

To do this, you need to register with Google as a programmer and have one of the Pixel smartphones.

One of the enhancements to the Android P version is more advanced news notifications. the system also supports displays with cutouts and custom shapes.

The new Android 9.0 P will be able to determine location based on the signal strength of Wi-Fi hotspots, which means that GPS will work inside buildings.

Only one of the most interesting changes can affect the cameras. For the first time, Google introduced front and rear camera functions, bringing a whole new audio-visual experience to equipment.

Apparently, some devices should get the new Android 9 by the end of this year, but Google is silent about the official launch.

At the same time, the update implementation process is already beginning. Not surprisingly, this primarily applies to Google smartphones. Google Pixel, Google Pixel XL, Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL.

Which Samsung devices will get Android 9.0 Pie

Largest smartphone maker Samsung has yet to determine which devices will receive the new version.

The list likely includes Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 Plus, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus and will likely expand with a few mid-range models.

Unfortunately, owners of previously released smartphones have to be patient and many models won’t get any updates at all.

The previous version of the Google system (the eighth), almost a year after the premiere, appeared on only about ten percent of smartphones.

Huawei and other devices. when will they receive Android 9.0 Pie

If all goes according to plan, at least four models will be available to the Chinese company.

The manufacturer is currently testing on Huawei P20 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro phones.

It is just not known exactly when Android 9 pie will appear. It can be assumed that the new version will also appear in the Huawei P20 Pro model, but it is not known if it will cover models with a lower price level.

Looking at how the manufacturer handled the Oreo version, we can assume that the list will expand.

Japanese manufacturer Sony has also decided to test the beta version and will begin the process of launching its products to the final version of Android 9.0 Pie in September.

It is due for completion in November and the company promises that the new system will go to 9 devices: Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Premium, Xperia XZ2 Compact, Xperia XZ1 Compact, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XA2 Plus, Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra.

First of all, Android 9 P is likely to appear on the Xperia XZ2 smartphone. Sony tested software on this model ahead of official premiere.

Samsung Galaxy S10 & Note 10 ANDROID 12 READY! Still Worth it?

The second Korean manufacturer also did not reveal which models will receive Android 9 pie. It can be assumed that the update will hit the top models LG G7 ThinQ, LG G6 and LG V30, but it is not known for sure and when it will happen.

Motorola has revealed a bit of confusion but has revealed which phones will get the update. These are: Moto Z3, Moto Z2 Force Edition, Moto Z3 Play, Moto G6 Play, Moto Z2 Play, Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, Moto X4.

Updates are expected to arrive later this year, but no exact release date has been provided.

The Taiwanese manufacturer is also announcing a list of devices that will primarily include the new system. These are: HTC U12 and HTC U11. However, the date when the update will become available has not been provided.

Nokia customers can wait for updates as well, primarily Nokia 8, Nokia 7, Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3, Nokia 2, Nokia 1.

On Xiaomi smartphones, the unofficial release of Android 9.0 Pie has already hit the first models of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, on which the software is being tested and will receive an official update.

Another Chinese company, OnePlus, is also already testing a new system. Updates have been promised for the following models: OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 6

However, it is not known when the final version will be released and what other devices will be available from this manufacturer.

As for other device manufacturers, they are not yet making loud statements, but are simply working on a new OS.

Nokia

Nokia surprised many by announcing that it will now release Android One phones. The list already consists of phones this year, besides the Nokia 1, which runs Android Go. However, HMD has promised that even the Nokia 1 will be updated to Android P, which means all current Nokia phones will receive Android 9, and some, like the Nokia 8 Sirocco, expect to receive the update around the same time as Google. Pixel.

Huawei

Huawei is one of the most advanced smartphone vendors in terms of software updates. In addition to being among the first to launch Oreo-based phones, the company has also upgraded many Huawei and Honor devices for Oreo. Given this track record, we expect Huawei to do even better with this year’s Mate 20 series with Android P out of the box.

LG’s mobile division isn’t performing well, which is one of the reasons we didn’t see the LG G7 at MWC 2018 as the company is restructuring the division. HTC has already updated a large number of its phones to Android 8.0 Oreo and is expected to do the same for the upcoming Android P. While we would like the entire HTC U series to receive an update to Android P, this is unlikely to happen, but of course it is. not the latest list of HTC phones to get P. Motorola is no longer an OEM for those looking for quick software updates. Regardless, Lenovo is expected to update a bunch of its phones to Android P, but these are mostly Moto Z flagship mobiles.The Moto G4 Plus was not lucky to be on Motorola’s list of Android P updates, but the same cannot be said for Moto. Samsung

Samsung mobiles from 2017 and 2018 will be upgraded to Android P. Although some powerful midrange like the Galaxy A8 and A8. may upgrade to Android 9, we cannot guarantee that this will be the case for other mid-range models. Conversely, almost all Samsung phones that debut this year with Android Oreo out of the box will receive Android P, be it the Galaxy S or Galaxy J series.

Even more interesting is the fact that Samsung is planning to update its 3-year-old Galaxy S6 and Note 5 phones to Oreo, which could suggest that the Galaxy S7 family could also be updated to Android P when the time comes.

At this point, we can say for sure that if you have a Samsung phone that was announced in 2016 or earlier, including the high-end Galaxy S7 series, do not expect an upgrade to Android P. If your phone is a 2017 model years, your hopes are too high if you don’t have any of the Galaxy S8 or Note 8 flagships that are guaranteed to receive the Android P update alongside the Galaxy S9 and S9.

Sony is one of the most consistent non-Google OEMs when it comes to software update issues. This is largely due to the company making a lot of contributions to AOSP, which should help speed up the Android P update even more.

The Android P update will get the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact this year, followed by their 2017 counterparts, but we don’t expect Sony to update the 2016 Xperia X series. On the other hand, we expect the mid-range Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra to receive an update to Android 9 in early 2019. Better yet, other Sony 2018 phones could ship with Android P out of the box.

Essential

Essential is expected to unveil the second generation of the PH phone this year, which should come with Android Oreo pre-installed. As for the Essential PH-1, which came with Nougat out of the box and will be updated to Oreo, the Android P update should arrive for it later this year, especially since the Oreo update adds support for faster updates via Project Treble.

BlackBerry

Even though BlackBerry doesn’t have many devices to update, it’s hard to say that the updates were successful. The Canadian company has been slow with updates to Oreo, and we don’t expect anything else with Android P. Even worse, we don’t think any of the company’s existing phones will be updated to Android 9 unless BB has a surprise.

Android 10 for Samsung

A month ago, we wrote about which smartphones will receive the latest version of Android, but at that time the information was incomplete. Over time, it was supplemented with new models and acquired a more or less relevant look. In today’s article, we will talk exclusively about Samsung smartphones, which are 100% likely to be updated to the latest version of the green robot, that is, Android 10 during 2019-2020. If earlier the list of devices was preliminary and unofficial, then the current list. this is Samsung‘s official roadmap for updating its smartphones. The update list includes more than 30 models of smartphones, as well as 5 tablets, but read on for more details.

Samsung smartphones. which will upgrade to Android 10

So, the list of Samsung smartphones upgradable to Android 10 is as follows:

  • Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10;
  • Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9;
  • Galaxy S10e.
  • Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10;
  • Galaxy Note 9.

  • Galaxy Tab S4;
  • 2019 Galaxy Tab A
  • Galaxy Tab A 2018 release.

Samsung smartphones upgradable to Android 10

As you can see, the list of supported devices is not that long. Most of all, it is a shame for the owners of the flagships of 2017, namely Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, Galaxy S8 Active, Galaxy Note 8. It can be seen that the manufacturer focused on smartphones released in the period from 2018 to 2019, while not even forgetting about state employees of the Galaxy M line.

Also, the list of updated Samsung smartphones to Android 10 clearly demonstrates the company’s attitude towards old smartphones. no support for more than 2 years. The question is, why did Google even try to implement Project Treble, which makes it easier to create branded skins on new versions of Android, if a giant like Samsung doesn’t care.
