The quality of the picture depends not only on the number of pixels of the main camera. Other components also affect it. Figuring out how to take a good photo is as easy as figuring out why your iPhone won’t charge. The iPhone 5S has a main module with a resolution of only 8 megapixels. However, thanks to the powerful hardware, this smartphone takes pictures with minimal noise.

Camera specifications in iPhone 11: how many megapixels, example photo
On September 10, Apple introduced new smartphones. iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro. Each iPhone presentation gives the camera a special
attention. and this one was no exception. In this article we will reveal all the secrets of the cameras of the new “apple” flagships.
Front: 1.2 MP Rear: 12 MP
Outer casing colors
Asking how many body colors are presented in this model, we can say with confidence that there are two: “space gray” and silver. As for the first color, it was made using a special vacuum deposition, which was not the case with its predecessors.
iPhone 10. the next generation smartphone!
The flagship iPhone X is the development of the popular Apple company, and its release was carried out specifically for the anniversary date of such a model as the iPhone 2G. The new iPhone X is equipped with a durable glass body, the OLED display has virtually no bezel, it has ultra-precise scanning function, it has a fingerprint and other useful bells and whistles for every user. There is also a dual battery that supports wireless charging, which is convenient for systematic use. You can buy such a phone at a price of 70,490 rubles. or RUB 82 190 This parameter will depend on the amount of memory.
At the presentation of this smartphone, the developers could not say exactly what the battery capacity in Mah will be, but made Accent on the fact that now it will work 2 hours longer than its predecessors. Now we can say that its capacity is 2176 Mah. The battery in the phone consists of two parts, since the battery is a lithium polymer.
First sensations after touching and equipment
For the first time taking a box with this smartphone in hand, everyone will be worried, because not every day we hold a flagship for 80-90 thousand rubles. The box itself is discreet, as it has a classic shape in the case of all previous models. There is a huge inscription iPhone X on the side, and the handsome man himself is depicted on the front side. Do not be surprised at this state of affairs, since Apple does not experiment with such elements and leaves them the same.
After you remove the lid of the box and pick up the iPhone 10 in your hands, there is no end to your excitement. At first glance, the smartphone seems oversized, the entire front part is completely occupied by the display, and it also lacks the usual Home button for everyone. Get ready to be surprised at the first sight of this flagship, as it does not look like any of the previous models. And the bezel-less display speaks for itself.
Considering what is included in the kit, I was a little upset, since practically nothing has changed in this matter, like in previous models. The standard set of components that come with the iPhone 10 includes:
- Lightning-USB cable;
- 5 V charger;
- EarPods headphones equipped with a Lightning connector;
- documentation, which indicates both the technical characteristics and the warranty;
- paperclip that opens the tray where the SIM card is inserted.
But, despite the fact that the equipment of the device let down, as soon as you take the iPhone X in your hands, you immediately rejoice that it is seriously different from other predecessors, especially the difference between this model and the “eight”.
The casing of both devices is made of a durable material that protrudes glass. But the question arises, why the tactile sensations of the iPhone 10 are so different from previous designs? What is the secret of the novelty? It’s simple. In this model, the side edges are made of durable stainless steel, compared to the aluminum used before. By ear, of course, the difference is insignificant, but in fact these are 2 different materials.
Thanks to the steel edges, the glass back is palpable. This characteristic contributes to the appearance of a sense of volume in the device. In this case, the full picture is complemented by reflections from the steel, which are fixed on the glass lid. In fact, this is a gorgeous effect.
IPhone 10 Specifications
Once the device has been unpacked, after considering the design, it is important to pay attention to its important characteristics and the functions with which it is equipped. After you decide to turn on your phone, you will be introduced to the A11 Bionic system, powered by a processor that has 6 cores. Of these, 2 are productive and 4 are efficient. IPhone 10 processor up to 25% faster than older models.
The peculiarity of the system is that it was originally intended for machine learning. The processor frequency is 2.37 GHz. The modern chipset, combined with the work of the processor, allows you to take games and applications that support augmented reality to a whole new level. A synthetic type test was carried out, which confirmed the fact that this model is the best of all currently presented.
The device’s RAM is relatively small and amounts to 3 GB, while the external memory is 64 GB. Screen resolution. 5.8 inches, which is enough for different purposes.
Considering the description, it is important to pay attention to the design of the iPhone 10, as in this model it has been changed. The appearance of the smartphone is refreshed by the back cover made of reinforced glass. In addition, both the front and rear glass have a special oleophobic coating that allows you to quickly remove fingerprints or not contaminate the screen for a long time.
The very shape of the body has also changed, as it has become a little elongated due to a different aspect ratio. But the classic look hasn’t gone away. On the front, the changes are greatest, since the bottom and side frames are absent. The upper frame is not the same, as it has special cutouts for the screen.
Numerous sensors are placed on the substrate that remains from the upper chamber. It has:
- point projector;
- camera with a resolution of 7 megapixels;
- proximity sensor;
- light sensor;
- IR camera;
- IR emitter.
Flagship name review
Even just before the moment when Apple decided to present the new product, it was known that the name would be interesting and special. This phone, which was the first of all developments to feature an OLED display, was called the iPhone X (ten). It got its name thanks to the iPhone 2G, which turned exactly ten years old in 2017. In fact, it turned out that the new development jumped over another model, namely the iPhone 9. Naturally, the fact that the next new device will not be represented by such a model is not excluded.
The question often arises as to how to correctly read the name of this phone. There are many names for him abroad. Some people simply pronounce the X, which stands for a number, in the form of the letter “X”. In certain regions, they simply read “ex”. Considering the review in Russian, our population, on the contrary, reads the X symbol as “ten”, and not as the name of this letter. Often the iPhone 10 is simply referred to as the top ten. It can be concluded that depending on the territory of distribution of the flagship, its names will be varied.
In the vertical direction on the body there is a dual camera consisting of two lenses. At the same time, its resolution is 12 megapixels, which makes it possible to take high-quality and interesting photos, as well as shoot videos. When shooting in low light conditions, OIS can be used to capture great shots. All the shooting modes used in the phone are interesting, but the Portrait mode deserves special attention, as it creates real portrait lighting. It also contains a function called “Face Scanner”.
The front camera with a resolution of 7 megapixels also received global updates. It received its special name TrueDepth and is a rather complex, but high-quality system for shooting. Examples of pictures that were obtained at the stage of considering a new model can be seen on the Internet.
The capacity of the “dozens” battery is 2716 mAh. 2 hours of operation for the iPhone 7:
- when listening to audio. 60 hours;
- watching video. the battery will last for 13 hours;
- with continuous talk, the battery will last up to 21 hours;
- those who like to climb on the net have less. 12 hours, which, in principle, is quite a lot.
Also, the iPhone X supports fast charging. Half the charge is gaining in half an hour! Of course, the iPhone can charge wirelessly using the Qi docking station.
Screen of the tenth iPhone
- OLED screen on iPhone;
- clear and bright colors;
- a high resolution;
- unusual design;
- True Tone and Face ID features.
The OLED display wasn’t invented by Apple. Much earlier this type of screen appeared at Samsung, even on the “wooden smartphones” Galaxy. The Apple company just more skillfully implemented this idea on their phones. Prior to that, all iPhones had LCD displays.
The new 5.8-inch OLED display in the iPhone 10 outperforms previous LCD screens in many ways: sharpness, quality, and environmental adaptability. The new display also conserves battery. This is due to the low power consumption of OLED screens.
The adaptation of the screen to the external environment (under different lighting conditions) is possible thanks to the True Tone function. This function allows the user’s eyes to rest, as if he is looking not at the screen, but at a regular book.
Super Retina is an HD screen that uses Smart Color Management. The media is transmitted to the user in P3 and sRGB in such a way that real pictures, photos, websites or videos will be visible on the screen. You get full realism in color reproduction.
The new screen is longer than the 5.5-inch screen of the iPhone eight plus. It is not striking. After all, not the size of the phone has increased, but the size of the screen.
The screen of the tenth iPhone is not the coolest in the world, but it is the most stable in operation. It is a great display for browsing website content, photos and videos. It was also named the best in the world based on DisplayMate testing, which proved the iPhone X screen to be the brightest and most colorful OLED on the market.
IPhone X Review
Today PClegko will give a full review of the iPhone X. There will be a detailed review of the iPhone 10 camera and iPhone specifications. iPhone X is an Apple game that ended up being successful. Removing the home button and redesigning the design is a dramatic and risky move for Apple. After all, how many years in a row iPhones were created similar to each other and differed only in size and internal filling!
The iPhone has many advantages, but there are also disadvantages:
Of course, there are more advantages. The main and undeniable is the combination of the latest technologies in one device. Apple developers are simply handsome in this regard! Plus, they made this device really convenient.
iPhone of the tenth model. breaking the pattern that Apple mobile phones need. In addition to the original iPhone in 2007, the tenth model is shaping the company’s direction. Apple itself called it the future of the smartphone, which the company has been trying to achieve for a decade.
The loss of reliable elements, such as the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, the home button, the introduction of new methods of managing and unlocking the phone, is risky for an organization with an established tradition of phone production. over, before that Apple had already got rid of the usual headphone input.
The fascination with this phone speaks volumes. But is the new iPhone X really needed? Will he be able to transform a company where many of the specifications that Apple has implemented are already on the market (wireless charging, facial recognition, camera)?
The firmware has also undergone changes. After all, the “home” button is gone, and the screen has changed dramatically. It has become larger, therefore, there is more space for content too.
The internal interface of the iPhone has changed, but it is done in such a way that some changes are not noticeable at all. And you can immediately get used to most of them due to their convenience.
The only inconvenience is the language switching button. Located under the keyboard at the bottom and you can overlook it at once.
Although it is not very convenient to press, but after a week you can get used to it. But the keyboard “Tens” has become more beautiful and more convenient.
iPhone is afraid of water?
iPhone X is dust and water resistant. If you put it in water in working order and turn on the music, then it will continue to work and sing as if nothing had happened. iPhone is IP67 protected.
We do not recommend or encourage you to check your iPhone in this way. The phone is needed to make calls, not swim.
IPhone X front camera and screen design
Opinion about the notch at the top of the iPhone 10 screen is mixed. Someone thinks it looks cool, some think it’s awful. But that was the only way to concisely fit the TrueDepth camera. And it’s worth it! The new front camera of dozens shoots just amazing!
The ability to shoot high-quality media content on the front-end fully justifies Apple’s decision regarding the notch at the top of the screen. Compare the front camera of iOS with Android. everything will become clear.
In an upright position, this notch is difficult to see. However, if you turn the device horizontally to watch video, it will be more noticeable.
Another cool thing about the iPhone X is HDR playback. The smartphone can recognize video encoded in Dolby Vision and HDR10.
According to the tests carried out, the tenth iPhone became the leader in terms of data processing speed and performance:
Geekbench 4. testing in the single-core segment.
BaseMark OS 2.0 test. the gap with androids is already smaller, but still the iPhone is in the first position.
Also, do not forget that most Androids have little memory of their own. They support cards, but apps are mostly installed in system memory. Lack of space causes braking. The iPhone, especially in the 256 GB configuration, does not have such a problem.
Technical comparison of Apple iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5 cameras
Before we continue our discussion of the differences between the cameras of the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and iPhone 5, let’s take a look at a comparison of the characteristics of these cameras. This will make it much easier for us to explain the differences between the photographs of different models.
1/3 inch size with sensor backlit (BSI)
Permission. 8 megapixels (3264 x 2448 pixels)
Size 1 / 3.2 Inch Backlit Gauge (BSI)
Resolution 8 megapixels (3264 x 2448 pixels)
Size 1 / 3.2 Inch Backlit Gauge (BSI)
The iPhone 5C uses the same cameras as the iPhone 5. In the iPhone 5S, Apple has focused its latest technology. The first thing Apple did was to use a larger sensor. The iPhone 5S now has a 1/3-inch backlit sensor, 15% larger than the iPhone and iPhone 5C 5. This means you now get pixels that are larger microns than the 5C and 5. That should lead to better photo quality, in low light conditions, as each pixel can collect more light.
Speaking about the architecture of the matrix, it is worth noting some improvements in technology. The iPhone 5S uses the same sensor size as HTC in the One UltraPixel phone. However, the HTC One UltraPixel has a lower resolution of 4MP, which results in a much larger pixel size. 2 microns. Thus, comparing only the pixel sizes, it turns out that HTC has much larger pixels.
In addition, the iPhone 5S is equipped with the newly developed 64-bit A7 image processor. This new processor is 40 times faster than the original iPhone and twice as fast as the A6. The presence of a high-performance image processor leads to higher quality photos, improving the graphics performance of the phone.
First of all, the iPhone 5S can shoot 10 frames per second in burst shooting. Secondly, it allows the camera to record 720p120 HD slow-motion video. Videos will be captured at 120 frames per second, as well as 30 frames per second. It also speaks for better dynamic range, better shadow definition and more detailed image, as well as reduced image noise.
Equipped with improved image stabilization on the iPhone 5S compared to the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5. The new image stabilization system is capable of capturing 4 photos simultaneously, which are then combined into a single image that looks much clearer. This is a great opportunity to improve blur in images, based on neither optical image stabilization nor sensor shift.
Speaking of low-light photography, Apple’s new iPhone 5S has a dual LED flash system, while the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5 only have one LED. Each LED corresponds to a different color temperature, providing a more accurate and natural image when shooting in different lighting conditions and with different light sources. When you take a shot in low light conditions, the white LED is on and the yellow LED is blinking at the same time (with different intensities). The result is to create a natural look. As a result, there will be no effect on image quality during post-processing.
I think this is a problem with most phone cameras. The photo taken with the flash looks very unnatural. New LED flash on iPhone 5S takes this problem to perfection.
With the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5, you can use an app that guarantees you a continuous shooting speed of 3 to 5 frames per second, which is probably technically limited by the phone’s capabilities. There is no exact information on the speed of continuous shooting of the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5. It is known that the updated version of the iPhone 5S can take pictures up to 10 frames per second. This will help when photographing moving objects by taking multiple frames, the photographer can then choose the best one.
An equally important feature of the new phone’s camera is video recording at 120 frames per second in 720p format. A video shot with this frequency will have an original slow-motion effect. Once you’ve created your video, you can decide which portion of the video should be slow-motion and which will run at a typical rate of 30 frames per second. You can create videos with such interesting inserts using the built-in video editor.
iPhone 5S features a bright new f / 2.2 lens. The iPhone 5S uses a larger sensor than the other two phones, which should result in a slightly wider field of view. An F2.2 lens speaks for a 1/3 stop advantage over the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5 in terms of light collection. It also helps the iPhone 5S perform better in low light conditions. When the ambient light just isn’t enough to get a good photo at a given shutter speed.
Comparison of cameras Apple iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5
In this article, we will compare the technical specifications of the built-in cameras of Apple iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C (cheaper model) and iPhone 5. For some people, the camera in the phone plays a significant role when buying a new model. Most people, of course, use a mobile phone camera to shoot videos or photos, however, some do it more often than others.
Not all people pay close attention to small details. After all, if you are only planning to share photos on. it really doesn’t matter what quality these photos will be. At least that’s what most people think. This is because different cameras can provide completely different levels of photographic quality. Some of the most obvious and visible criteria for photography are the ability of the camera to work in low light conditions and the focal length of the lens. If we compare photos taken with a phone camera and an ordinary high-quality camera, the difference becomes noticeable. Phone photos are usually grainy and less vibrant. This is due to the lens and image processor, which is much more powerful on mirrorless and DSLR cameras. Even comparing photos from different phones, you can see the difference depending on how high-quality the cameras of these models are.
The camera phone iPhone 5C has no new features, and fully inherits all the technical features from the camera iPhone 5. In the case of the iPhone 5S, things get more interesting. The iPhone 5S undoubtedly has improvements in low light photography, we can expect to produce sharper images with less noise. I am sure that in the future, we will see from the sample images that the iPhone 5S is much more powerful than the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C. Photographers will be interested in increasing the speed of continuous shooting and the presence of a slow motion effect when recording video. Such innovations can be safely called revolutionary. they will certainly give a boost to camera performance and a visible difference that will be noticeable when viewing photos.
I think it would be more interesting to see a comparison of the iPhone 5S camera with, say, the Nokia Lumia 1020 camera, or the HTC One UltraPixel phone camera. Perhaps these comparisons will appear on our website in the very near future. keep for updates.
It remains to be seen how powerful the camera of the new iPhone 6 will be when the new phone is released. What is clear is that Apple is constantly improving the performance of its technology, including cameras in phones. My guess is that the company is working on a new technology that we will all see shortly.
A few more pictures for you to compare
So that you can engage in comparing other pictures at your leisure, here are a few more pairs. Including shots from the front camera.
Also remember that no enhancements were included on the Note10, they are simply not available on Apple.
Compare cameras on iPhone 11 Pro / Pro Max and Galaxy Note10 / 10. who’s better?
You can say as much as you like that product A is better than product B, but blind testing, when people choose what they like without regard to the brand, speaks most of this. We invited you to participate in such a comparison of the cameras of the iPhone 11 Pro and Galaxy Note10. This comparison also applies to older models, since they are identical in photo part.
iPhone X Detailed Camera Review
You had paired shots and the opportunity to see the originals if you wanted to. For the purity of the experiment, the EXIF information was removed from the files, but many easily guessed which model was hiding under which number. So, the first number hid pictures from the Galaxy Note10, and the second. the iPhone 11 Pro. You can find voting material here.
All pictures were taken in automatic mode, which is on by default (this is how Samsung worked in this case to detect scenes and improve them). There is no such mode in the iPhone and all photos are improved by default, an algorithm unknown to science. Looking ahead, I will say that the Note10 camera won by a large margin, since the pictures seemed to you much more interesting than those on the iPhone 11 Pro. Samsung is adapting the camera software so that the pictures look good both on the smartphone screen and on the computer, it is worth keeping in mind. In the case of the iPhone, the pictures look better outside the smartphone, since the display gives its own error, and the camera often misses the white balance and draws a completely unreal picture.
Let’s go through the individual shots to see how each camera shoots and what the differences are. Let’s start with a snapshot of the city at night.
The colors on the Note are more vivid, vibrant, and convey the way the street looks. The colors on the iPhone are muted, and you can say they are natural only if you have not been on this street. In the picture taken with the Note, there is a flashlight flare, a stripe on the left (most likely there are fingerprints on the lens, it happens). Nevertheless, despite this, many appreciated this particular picture. The overweight is small, 56 to 44%, but it is still present.
The situation is quite the opposite with the photo of slippers on the main camera, here the iPhone wins with a slight advantage.
I don’t like how the Note worked on the legs, they look darkened, it’s just corny ugly. And this well characterizes the fact that any camera cannot be perfect and does not always give a guaranteed result, in photography you need to talk about the probability, it can be high or low. But not one hundred percent.
But the telephoto lens slippers turned out to be better for the Note. Why? The answer lies in the fact that there are brighter colors, higher detail. In the photo from the iPhone, they seem to be somewhat blurry.
The girl’s head came out better on the Note, although each shot has its own pros and cons. The advantage of Samsung in this case is quite large (68 to 32), but this is more likely due to the elaboration of the details of the denim jacket, the picture turned out to be more vivid. This is what people like, what they want to see.
The tea bottle is a snapshot that surprised me. On the iPhone, when you photograph objects of the same color, there is almost always a color shift. In my case, the tea turned out to be absurdly highlighted, but Samsung, on the contrary, tinted it a little. But Samsung was nevertheless closer to reality.
The telephoto shot of this bottle shows an even greater difference, the iPhone smudges the details, blurs them, while the shot on the Note is saturated, sharp. Very often, the disadvantages of Note and its cameras are recorded that the pictures are sharp, ringing. But this is exactly what the average consumer wants to get, sharpness and a pleasant picture, we live in the era of Instagram and snapshots, which were initially spoiled by all sorts of enhancements. But this does not negate the fact that the iPhone copes with details much worse, the telephoto camera in the room shoots so-so.
Mushrooms in a plate, this shot shows Samsung tried to identify the food and tinted the plate as well as the mushrooms themselves. I do not like this result, since the plate is still white, as well as the mushrooms are not of the same color. But there is still this trademark warmth, while the iPhone turned out to be cold, as if food was lying on a surgical table (68 by 32, your choice is quite eloquent). As for me, both devices did not cope very well with the subject.
The girl reaches for the sky. This shot is definitely better on the Note, and here you can see that the light is warm, various small details are well worked out. But the iPhone did not have enough dynamic range, the brightness is overwhelmed, the picture is faded (78 by 22%, which is also quite justified).
Wherever there are light sources in the room, the iPhone produces a rather nondescript picture. IPhone algorithms try not to experiment again, not to give better results. And the pictures are boring enough. Look at the picture of the hotel chandelier (73 x 27%).
The fact that the snapshot from the Note is more lively does not raise questions. This is really so, and there is no need for picky study. What happens when you shoot close-up? Let’s take a look at the moss.
Alas, but again the lack of vividness of the picture kills all the iPhone’s chances of recognition (73 to 27%). One shot is alive, but the other is flat, expressionless. And the study of moss looks questionable in the picture from the iPhone.
But with the bark of a tree, an interesting situation emerged, as they say, and a broken clock shows the correct time twice a day. The fact that the iPhone in white balance often turns green played a good joke when photographing the bark, the picture turned out to be much more expressive (the picture is more realistic with the Note, but more beautiful with the iPhone).
Votes were distributed as 26 to 74% and this is significant. In telephoto mode, the story is exactly the same, there are no differences.
The photo of the playground divided the ratings almost in half, some people like the muted tones of the iPhone, some chose the Note. I like the iPhone photo here more, but not at all because it conveys reality more accurately, it is not, but because it turned out to be neutral-cold. There is a warmth in Note that I don’t associate with autumn.
Blurring the background or portrait mode on the iPhone (live photo on Samsung), here the votes were almost equally distributed, a slight advantage for the iPhone (47 to 53%). Since I used the default settings, the background blur in Samsung is not aggressive, the background is visible.
Please note that the algorithm from the iPhone incorrectly cuts the outlines of the leaves, blurring them. But given that the picture has a blurred background, many people like it (47 to 53%). But this is how you can blur the background on Note already in the gallery, there is post-processing of such pictures.
We got a strange story with blurring of colors (45 to 55%), I don’t like both the first and the second pictures here. In Note, the picture is tinted, but the iPhone made it faded, the flowers are not at all the same in life, they are bright.
The bench shot also lacks aggressive blur, the default setting. Hence, a slight preponderance in favor of the iPhone (43 to 57%).
Conclusions about comparison and quality of cameras
I repeat that there are no ideal cameras, each device has its own strengths and weaknesses, which means that scenes in which one camera shoots better than the other. It all comes down to the ability to get a high-quality picture, how likely is it that you will like it.
If you look at the statistics, then a total of 16 pictures were compared, this is quite enough to get an idea of the cameras. The grades were distributed as follows:
- Won by Note10. 8 shots, with a large majority in terms of the number of votes;
- Won iPhone 11 Pro. 2 shots with a large margin;
- Approximate parity. 6 shots.
From the results of blind testing, it becomes clear that people like the Note10 and its cameras in most situations, it’s just the number of your ratings. It is clear that you can turn off AI and get more natural photos, but I deliberately gave the iPhone a head start so that it does not look completely bad.
The camera in the iPhone 11 Pro is a huge step in the right direction for Apple, and they’ve finally improved night vision, closer to their current flagships on Android. But in general, the camera still suffers from the lack of a large number of settings that are needed for those who are trying to squeeze the best out of the picture and know how to do it. Algorithms for processing images on the iPhone give off white balance, very cold colors with a bias towards greens. I don’t like these photos, and they look even worse on a smartphone screen.
Reading the Комментарии и мнения владельцев to the original comparison, I caught myself thinking that many Apple fans assumed that the subject of their worship would not be up to par. In principle, the reasoning is correct, given that the cameras in the iPhone have never been a strong point and lost to the flagships of other companies. Hence the invention of trembling hands, a lens smeared with sour cream and similar tales. powerlessness from realizing the truth always hurts. This material reflects how ordinary people perceive photos, this is your assessment and my contribution only in that I gave the original photos for comparison. Alas, Apple saves on everything in their flagships, including software for cameras, on the quality of modules and only gives the necessary minimum. However, you can see for yourself if you read the comparison between Note10 and iPhone 11 Pro.

The iPhone X screen has a special layer that determines the pressure level. It works with 3D Touch technology, which is needed to display additional functions for working with icons on the home screen and menu items.
In iOS 13, the same capabilities are implemented using the Haptic Touch technology, which determines not the pressure of the press, but its duration. Together with her, the meaning in 3D Touch disappeared.
iPhone 11 features a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina HD display. It is made using IPS technology, which was used in the iPhone XR, iPhone 8 (Plus), iPhone 7 (Plus) and other older Apple smartphones.
The screen resolution is 1792 × 828 pixels, and the density reaches 336 PPI. The standard contrast is 1400: 1 and the brightness is 625 cd / m². There is no support for high dynamic range (HDR) content. True Tone in place.
The density is quite enough to make it almost impossible to notice individual points on the screen. Apple uses an increased number of PPIs in OLED screens only due to the peculiarity of the structure of individual pixels.
The reduced contrast of the screen affects only the depth of the black color. in IPS, it looks more like a dark gray. In direct comparison to the iPhone 11, wider bezels around the screen are noticeable, but in daily use they do not matter.
The screen of the new smartphone does not support 3D Touch. Apple ditched this technology for the first time in the iPhone XR and after a successful test decided to no longer use it in its smartphones.
What is the difference between iPhone X and iPhone 11. Is it worth updating
iPhone X was released in September 2017. This is the first truly new Apple smartphone, which changed the concept of the entire line of devices of the company.
In this article, we will compare the old man with the new iPhone 11, which also has 2 main cameras. Why the new smartphone is better than the iPhone X?
❶ iPhone X has a 5.8-inch OLED screen at 458 PPI, iPhone 11 has a 6.1-inch IPS screen with thicker bezels at 336 PPI. The latter loses in the depth of black, but it will hardly be possible to see individual points on it.
❷ iPhone 11 is 7.3 mm longer than iPhone X, 4.8 mm wider, 0.5 mm thicker and 20 g heavier. But it has more variety of colors. in addition to black and white, there are red, yellow, green and Violet.
❸ iPhone 11 is up to 30% faster and up to 50% more battery life than iPhone X. It also has more RAM.
❹ Instead of a TV camera like the iPhone X, the iPhone 11 has a 120-degree ultra-wide angle. both additional sensors with relatively low light sensitivity относительно / 2.4.
❺ iPhone 11 has 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of internal storage. IPhone X. 64 and 256 GB.
Now let’s go through all the main differences between gadgets in more detail.
The iPhone X is the company’s first smartphone to feature a polished stainless steel frame around its body. It is stronger than aluminum, but it is covered with small scratches, which is especially noticeable on the silver model.
The front and back panels of the smartphone are covered with tempered glass, which Corning makes for Apple. It was produced in two colors: silver and space gray.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 143.6 × 70.9 × 7.7 mm, the weight is 174 g. It is protected from moisture and dust according to the IP67 standard. it can be submerged under water to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.

iPhone 11 is the successor to the iPhone XR and is also built around a 7000 series anodized aluminum frame. It does not flex, but is inferior in strength and tactile feel to steel.
The front and back panels of the smartphone are covered with Corning glass. To harden them, the technology of double ion exchange is used for the first time, which increases their strength. You can buy the iPhone 11 in white and black, red and green, yellow and purple.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 150.9 × 75.7 × 8.3 mm, the weight is 194 g. It is protected from moisture and dust according to the IP68 standard, it can be submerged under water to a depth of 2 meters for up to 30 minutes.
The iPhone X uses two 12MP primary cameras: a standard wide-angle ƒ / 1.8 aperture and a telephoto lens to simulate a 2x optical zoom with ƒ / 2.4 aperture. There is a portrait mode.
When there is not enough light for the secondary camera, the smartphone switches to digital zoom on the more sensitive primary one. In this case, the pictures are quite grainy, so it is better not to use the zoom in the dark.
The main cameras can record 4K video. Both support optical image stabilization to compensate for shaking.
The front camera of the iPhone X is 7 megapixels with an aperture size of размером / 2.2. With it, you can shoot video in 1080p resolution.
The iPhone 11 uses two 12MP primary cameras: a standard wide-angle ƒ / 1.8 aperture and an ultra-wide-angle 120-degree field of view with ƒ / 2.4 aperture. There is a portrait mode with an additional effect “Depth”.
The additional camera of the smartphone has a relatively low light sensitivity, so pictures with it in the dark can be quite grainy and relatively indistinct.
The novelty has received a special night mode, which takes good quality pictures with the main camera, even in poor ambient light. To do this, she simulates a long exposure and uses neural networks.
The novelty makes it possible to use an extended dynamic range with a frequency of up to 60 frames per second. It also has an Audio Zoom function that controls the direction of the sound.
The front camera of the iPhone 11 is 12 megapixels, and this gives it the ability to take clearer selfies. But the aperture size remains the same. ƒ / 2.2. It can record videos up to 4K resolution.
