In the opened Stream Media Service tab, click the “Add” button.
Fill in the fields as in the upper screenshot. In the IP addresses field, mark the IP addresses of the server (the computer on which the IVMS4200 Stream Media Server program is installed). In the “Port” field, check 554, if nothing was changed during installation, or the port that was changed during installation.
After that, click the “Configuration” button and tick the boxes from which you want to receive streams not directly, but through the Stream Media Server.

Configuring iVMS-4200 for viewing video cameras on a computer
It is not necessary to use a direct VGA or HDMI cable from the DVR to display the image on the monitor. In this case, the solution is more economical, but it happens when the DVR is located somewhere in a very remote and hidden place. And you need to watch video cameras in real time and archives of recordings, being somewhere in a remote place, but at least in another city or country it does not matter whether there is a guard in the office. If your computer is on the same network as the DVR, then indicate its internal IP address. In case you want to view the DVR somewhere remotely, you must specify the external IP address. Then, in advance, where the DVR is installed, port forwarding on the router must be configured. In this case, the forwarding must be TCP 8000 port. Enter the username and password for the DVR. Login and password, which is specified by default, see the documentation for the DVR, as a rule it is admin / admin.
