We look at the connection of IP cameras optimus

Optimus IP Camera Configuration

IP surveillance cameras, which are produced under the Optimus brand, are distinguished by a large number of positive characteristics. They are very reliable and also compatible with various devices. Recordable, high resolution. On top of everything GoPro, Optimus IP cameras support almost all browsers, mobile operating systems and dual streams.

However, in order to obtain an excellent image quality, it is necessary to professionally set up a surveillance camera. Correct and competent setup can ensure the correct functioning of the entire tracking system.

Optimus IP Camera Device

The Optimus IP camera is a tracking device with all the elements in a single housing. Camera interfaces are distinguished by the presence of a large number of different inputs and connectors. On the back of the device there is a power connector, an output for connecting a wire for transmitting audio information.

Also on the back of the Optimus camera there are the following outputs: an RJ-45 connector, an attachment for a bracket to mount the camera to the desired location, and alarm inputs / outputs. On the side panel you can see the output in which a micro-SD memory card is installed.

Configuring IP camera Optimus

If a situation arises when the IP address of the tracker is unknown, then you can use the CD-ROM and start the Net_Admin program. It will help you find out the connection settings, and then change them if necessary. In this case, you need to perform the following sequence of actions:

  • Run utility.
  • Press the Refresh button, after that you can see all cameras in the list.
  • Select the required camera by clicking on its name once with the left mouse button.
  • Enter new network settings and click the Change IP button.

Optimus surveillance cameras have a wide range of different settings, but first of all, you will need to go to the settings for recording information. To do this, you need to enter the main menu with settings, select the Record option and find the Record Settings item there. In order for the device to be able not only to Record information, but also to write it to a specific medium, it is necessary to install at least one hard disk that allows reading and saving data.

Reproduction of information is possible in two ways:

  • Through the Main Menu. In this case, you need to use the Record category and click the Play item;
  • Through the menu that is present on the Desktop.

Network connection settings are made in the Network menu. Here you can select a network card, as well as set the parameters for IP addresses, gateways and subnet masks. Once the DNS address is set, the camera needs to be rebooted.

To go to the camera connection settings, you must select the Digital Channel Setting category. Here you can select the configuration of the device via the Channel mode item. The applied configuration will work after rebooting the IP camera. In addition, in the same menu, you can configure the mode and state of the channel.

Optimus cameras differ in different modifications: IP-P and IP-E. The former work over the ONVIF protocol, and the latter over the NETIP protocol. Accordingly, the settings of THESE cameras are also different. Optimus IP-P cameras have port 8080 and the password will be 1111, while IP-E devices have port 34567 and passwords require.

Optimus IP addresses by default

By default, the IP addresses for connecting the surveillance camera and router to the local network have the following sequence of numbers:

The factory settings, which are used by default in the cameras of the Optimus brand, have the following data:

  • Subnet Mask:
  • User name, or User name: admin
  • Password, or Password: absent by default (or you can try to enter 1111)
  • Gateway, or Gateway:
  • HTTP port 80
  • Media port: 34567
  • Faster Download: The default is high speed download
  • Enable DHCP. This item allows you to obtain an IP address automatically. Professionals do NOT recommend ticking this box.

It is necessary to take into account the fact that the login and password have sensitivity to the selected case. In addition, remember or write down the password to access the surveillance system. If you enter it incorrectly for three times in a row, the alarm option will be triggered. If you continue to enter the wrong entry two more times, the account will be locked. To unlock, you will need to reboot the account or wait for half an hour, and then the record will be unlocked automatically.
