INSTALLATION OF VIDEO SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS IN THE HOUSE OR AT THE COUNTRY
For private use and self-installation, analog AHD cameras are preferable. They practically do not require configuration, are unpretentious in operation, do not “hang” like IP equipment.
If it is necessary to organize video surveillance via the Internet, all modern video recorders have the technical capability of network connection.
The exception is situations when remote access to one TV camera is required. In this case, it is easier to use IP technologies, especially when working with cloud services.
Of course, if the use of wireless cameras is planned, then the “analog” is not very attractive here. This installation option is determined by:
- the desire to reduce the complexity of installation (sometimes trivial laziness);
- lack of technical ability to lay cable networks;
- unwillingness to have visible boxes, wires and other installation elements in the interior of the premises.
Everyone chooses for himself, but the wired connection will not “strain” the user too much. For outdoor installations, you can place the camcorders on the wall of the house and immediately pull the wire inside. In 90% of cases, no other options are required. If it is impossible to provide this kind of protection, it is worth installing an outdoor dome video camera. Its installation can be done directly on the wall of the building. The small size and spherical shape of the case will most likely protect the device from the effects of the above external factors.
Speaking about mechanical protection, one should not forget about ensuring vandal resistance (preventing people from intentionally damaging the video camera). I’ll tell you right away. installing an anti-vandal camera on the street will not solve the problem 100%.
