When everything is ready, Windows 7 files should open on a USB-flash drive.

Downloading from the installation USB-flash drive on a netbook

Windows 7 on the ASUS netbook can be installed with flash drives. Standardly on this device loading is performed with HDD. It is possible to change the configuration through BIOS ASUS.

Previously, before turning on netbook, make sure that the drive is in a USB port. Turn on PC and click on the BIOS point when loading. There should be the inscription “Tap for setup” during the launch process. On ASUS laptops it’s F2.

In BIOS, in the Boot category, set the sequence of launch from the drives. Click on the HDD function and in the program window indicate a personal flash card. After that, return to the window, select the Boot Device Priority function, set the frequency of loading so that the first in the list is a flash drive.

Go to the main Windows installation window and click on Savechangesexit at the exit point. Upon turning on, the netbook will be loaded from the flash drive, and during the launch process the bootloader window will appear, which is installed by WSF USB software for data drive.

Open the Start Vista/Win7/Server 2008Setuporpe/Recovery ISofrompartition and click on Enter. Windows OS window will appear, then you need to act on requests that appear on the screen.

After copying each file, the netbook will restart. It is important not to forget to get out the flash drive so that the load is not carried out again.

Making changes to BIOS so that the computer is loaded from the flash drive

Having a loading flash drive in hand, it is still early to start installing Windows 10, since first you need to make your PC understand that you need to load from it, and not from another drive that is already in the system. To do this, you need to make some changes to the Boot Menu so that the system understands that the flash drive should be loaded first. You should not be afraid of this item, since in fact there is nothing complicated in it, and all modern BIOS versions have a rather understandable intese with the function of restoring factory settings-even if you are inadvertently click, this can be easily restored.

The process of making changes to Boot Menu:

  • Reload the computer and immediately after starting it on, press one of the following keys or combinations repeatedly: PC. F1, F2, DEL; Acer laptop. F1, F2, CTRLF2, CTRLALTESC, CTRLALTDEL; ASUS laptop. F2, F9, del; Dell laptop. F1, F2, F10, DEL, ESC, Insert; HP laptop. F1, F8, F10, F11, ESC, Del; Lenovo laptop. F2, FNF2, F8, DEL; Samsung laptop. F2, F8, F12, DEL, FNF2, FNF8, FNF12; Sony laptop. F1, F2, F3, del, Assist.
  • In the BIOS itself, you need to open the boot menu menu (it can be located on the first screen, or displayed in a separate menu) and put in the first place you have chosen flash drive with the UEFI prefix in the name, and then save the changes and leave the BIOS (Save and Exit). Or, if your system supports this, you can just choose a USB flash drive, and the PC download will begin with it.

Loading asus laptops from flash drive

In general terms, the algorithm repeats the method that is identical to everyone, but there are several nuances that we will get acquainted later.

Of course, you will need a boot flash. Methods of creating such a drive are described below. Read more: Instructions for creating a multi.loading flash drive and a loading flash drive with Windows and Ubuntu

Please note that at this stage, the problems described below in the corresponding section of the article most often arise!

If there are problems, read below.

Description of the settings

Add New Boot Option. translates into Russian approximately how to add a new download option. In fact, it is almost true. the item means adding a new rule for loading (loading recording).

Allows you to manually set the way to the bootloader. In the first Boot Option Name menu, indicate the name (any). In File System List, as I understand it, we indicate the device. And in File Name. the bootloader file. This menu looks something like this:

After creating, you can go to the menu of loading devices and there will be a record you created.

You may also have another item. Delete Boot Option. on the contrary, delete the load rule. By the way, these points cannot be deleted just like that. there may be serious problems.

Perhaps the Add New Boot Option item is needed to manually specify the loading file. In other words, you can try to install Windows when the installation files are not on the disk/flash drive, but on another hard drive. And using the option to indicate what exactly needs to be launched.

For example, if Ubuntu is installed, then when choosing the Add New Boot Option option, in Path for Boot Option, we prescribe:

Click Create. In theory, the same should work with Windows.

An example is the screenshot of the BIOS, which shows the downloading Windows Boot Manager, found on the Hitachi device (probably hard drive):

This entry means that Windows is installed on the Hitachi device. It is this type of recording that can be added manually using the Add New Boot Option settings.

An example of setting in a modern ASUS BIOS:

Award (Phoenix) BIOS

Select Boot (sometimes Advanced). Find the CD-ROM parameter and move it to the very top. In this version of BIOS, to move CD-ROM to the upper position, you need to press the key twice

Save the settings made and leave the BIOS. To do this, go to the Exit tab and select Exit Saving Changes:

The computer will be rebooted and the Windows is installed from the loading disk (if available in the drive).

Another option Award (Phoenix) BIOS

Here we are interested in the section Advanced Bios Features.

We go to this section and look for the FIRST BOOT DEVICE item. Then, in this paragraph, set the computer from CDROM.

After you tuned the BIOS, you need to insert the boot disk with Windows and save the BIOS settings. To do this, press the F10 key, in the window that appears, select Yes and press Enter.

How to install Windows 10 on ASUS laptop with UEFI (using the ZenBook UX310ua model as an example)

Not so long ago, I got one compact laptop with a complaint about the impossibility of installing Windows 10 OS (a “installation of Windows on this disk is released. Perhaps the equipment of this computer “). Well, I had to understand.

In fact, the problem was (I think so) is due to the fact that the user incorrectly created the bootable carrier and tried to install the system from it. Although, I immediately note that in some cases the wrong BIOS/UEFI settings may be guilty.

In this article, I will show on a example the installation of an OS on the ASUS ZenBook UX310UA laptop (I will add that on many ASUS laptops, especially from this line. actions will be similar).

Installation of Windows 10 on ASUS laptop

Creating a bootable flash drive

For work, a RUFUS utility and a loading image with Windows 10 OS are required.

And so, we insert the USB flash drive and run Rufus (important! All data on the flash drive will be deleted, so copy everything you need from it).

Next, specify the image of ISO (recommended for installation above), then select the GPT option for computers with the UEFI integration (file system. FAT 32), “Standard installation of Windows”. Click the Start button (the settings are presented on the screen below).

Update from 24.01.2019 ( The Rufus program has been updated somewhat, and its design has changed. I will give another screen for version 3.4, so that no one gets confused).

In general, the flash drive is ready, you can move on.

Download optimal settings in BIOS. we enter the boot menu.

BIOS settings are not always set by default (default). Therefore, first of all, I recommend going to BIOS and restore them.

By the way, you can immediately connect the loading flash drive created in the previous step. I recommend connecting to the USB 3 port.1 (installation will pass faster, especially if your flash drive supports this standard).

To enter the BIOS, immediately after turning on the laptop (the ASUS company logo must appear) press the F2 key (preferably several times, so that for sure).

In BIOS (UEFI). first go to Advanced Mode (F7 key). see. The lower part of the window.

In the Save Exit section, select the Restore Defaults function (default recovery). Then save the changes. the “Save Changes” button (you can just press the F10 button. after which all changes will be saved and the laptop will go to the reboot. enter the F2 BIOS key again).

Restore Defaults. Restore the default settings

After restoring the settings, entering the BIOS (UEFI) window again, press the F8 button (entrance to Boot Menu). In it you should see our flash drive. select it and click Enter.

Boot menu. select a bootable carrier

Next, the laptop is obliged to start installing Windows. the “circle” should run in the center of the screen.

If the installation does not occur, check if you recorded the installation flash drive correctly, and set UEFI settings.

Windows 10 installation process

The first window is a greeting with the choice of language (I lowered it, just click Enter). In the next window. click the “Install” button.

Next, a window will appear with the terms of the license. you agree and press “Next”.

In the window with the choice of installation option, indicate “selective: only installation of Windows (for experienced users)”.

Further, the most important window is where the disk is set for installing Windows. In general, I recommend removing everything that is on the disk (everything that came from the store), and make a clean installation of Windows 10.

Removing all sections on the hard drive

After that, you can create one section for the entire disk and make an installation in it (some recommend creating two sections. one for installing Windows, the other for user data). If you create two sections, then under Windows I recommend highlighting places at least 100 GB.

In my case, I just created one section on the entire disk (931.5 GB) and pressed “Next”.

By the way, if at this step you see a mistake that “installing Windows on this disk is impossible” (see. screenshot). then you most likely incorrectly created a loading flash drive (see. The first part of this article). It is also possible that you downloaded an “incorrect” image of ISO with the system.

What to do after installation?

If you did not enter the key during the installation process, then the first thing I advise you to activate Windows 10. You can find a lot of interesting and workers on the Internet.

Then I advise you to go to the device manager, and make sure that all the necessary drivers are installed. If not, there are unknown devices, or something does not work, then download and install the necessary drivers. Just do not download them from nowhere. You have a laptop of a certain manufacturer and a specific model (which is most likely indicated on the sticker from below). Go to the official website of the manufacturer, find the page of your model through the search on the site, and there should be a section with drivers loading and the necessary utilities. I can’t give more accurate instructions, it all depends on the specific manufacturer.

Then download and install the necessary programs. Antivirus. Favorite Internet browser. It may well be that you will like a new, standard Microsoft Edge browser. It is really good.

I really hope that this instruction came in handy for you, and you easily installed Windows 10 on your laptop. over, now you know how to do it yourself, and you will no longer have to turn to “specialists” for help, and even pay them. Ami BIOS (BIOS Setup Utility)

After entering the BIOS settings of this type you will see this window:

Top into the Boot section and in the Boot Device Priority subsection in paragraph 1st Boot Device, select the parameter with CDROM.

Everything. BIOS is tuned to us. Now you need to insert a disc with Windows into a disc and exit BIOS after preserving the settings made. To do this, press the F10 key, in the dialog box that appears, select Yes and press Enter.

Without disk and flash drives

As mentioned above, the laptops have a special disk section on which the utility and files are recorded to restore the system to the factory state. In some models, this application can be called directly from the running Windows. The label containing the word “recovery” in its name can be searched in the “Start” menu, in the folder with the name corresponding to the name of the manufacturer. If the program was not found or the launch of the system is impossible, it is necessary to restart the machine and enter the recovery mode. How to do this on different models of laptops, we will tell you below. Please note that these instructions will not work in all cases, since manufacturers can change some settings or methods of access to the section we need.

To load the recovery mode on the asus, the F9 key is used, sometimes in combination with FN. It must be pressed after the logo appears when loading. If nothing comes out, you need to turn off the booster booster in BIOS.

The desired option is on the Boot tab.

Further, two options for the development of events are possible. If the “seven” is installed, then after pressing the F9 there will be a warning window in which you must click OK. Recovery will start automatically.

In the event that “eight” or “dozen” is used, we will see a special menu in which we need to go to the diagnostic section.

How to Install Windows 10 without USB Pen drive or DVD (Easy)

Next, select the item “Return to the original state”.

how to setup SSD in pc | How to setup ssd as boot drive windows 10

The next step is the choice of a disk with an installed system. This action will include its cleaning from user data.

The final stage is the click of a button with the name “Just delete my files”. The recovery process will be launched.

On the laptopes of this manufacturer, everything happens similarly to the asus with the only difference being that in order to access the restoration, you need to click the combination of the Altf10 keys when loading.

install, windows, disk, asus, installation

Lenovo needs a utility we call One Key Recovery and can be launched directly from Windows.

If the loading of the system is impossible, then after turning off the laptop you need to find a special button on its case (usually above the keyboard).

It will be launched by Novo Button Menu, in which the utility is located.

After starting at the first stage, you need to choose a restoration from an automatically created copy and press “Next”.

The start of the rollback process is carried out by the “Start” button in the next window “Master”.

The above examples will help you understand how to act if it is necessary to restore Windows. The main thing here is to know the combination of keys that will launch this mode. Otherwise, everything happens according to approximately the same scenario. On laptops with Win 7, you just need to select the system and start the process, and on newer systems. find the utility in the “Diagnostics” section. The exception is some TOSHIBA models, where it is necessary to call the menu of additional loading parameters and go to the “Elimination of computer disabilities”.

The recovery utility is at the very bottom of the list of available options.

If it is not possible to find a program from the manufacturer, then, most likely, the section was deleted during the “roll” of the new operating system. There is also a hope that it will be possible to “roll back” the OS to the factory settings by means of Windows itself. Otherwise, only reinstallation from a disk or flash drive will help.

Installation carrier

This procedure is no different from similar to desktop computers. If you have an installation disk or flash drive, then the installation can begin without additional manipulations. If there is no carrier, then it is necessary to create it.

Next, you should configure the BIOS parameters so that the flash drive is the first in the download line.

The final and most important stage is the installation of the operating system itself.

After the installation, we will get a clean system that will work without failures and errors for a long time. True, for the normal functioning of all the components of the laptop, it is also necessary to install all the drivers.

Instructions for the search and installation of drivers for a rather large number of laptopes are already on our website. In order to study them, it is necessary to score in the search field on the main page the request of the “Laptop Driver” without quotes.

If specifically for your model there is no instruction, then read the articles designed for other laptops of this manufacturer. The search and installation script will be similar.

Open the device manager and find devices without drivers

Having received the list, we go to the site of the manufacturer of the ASUS K56CB laptop and download the necessary drivers.

Next, install the drivers and reboot the computer. Then we open the device manager and convince that all drivers are worth.

Stage 3: Formatting section

Formatting of the section involves washing all the data that is on it, and the reformation of the volume structure for the necessary Windows option for installing Windows. Therefore, if in the selected HDD volume there are some important user data, they must first be transferred to another section of the hard drive or other medium in order to prevent loss of information. It is especially important to format if you are going to reinstall the OS. This is due to the fact that if you put a new Windows on top of the old system, then the residual files of the previous OS can negatively affect the correctness of the computer after reinstalling.

Then the final stage of installation begins, which involves direct installation of Windows 7 on a computer hard drive.

Stage 5: Settings after installation

After the installation of Windows 7 will be performed, it is necessary to perform a few more actions to set up the system in order to go directly to its use.

  • Immediately after installation, a window opens, where you will need to prescribe a computer name and create the first user profile. In the field “Enter user name”, enter the arbitrary name of the profile (account). In the field “Enter the name of the computer” also make an arbitrary name PC. But unlike the name of the account, in the second case, the introduction of the characters of the Cyrillic alphabet is not allowed. Therefore, use only numbers and Latin. After completing these requirements, click “Next”.
  • In the next window you can enter a password for the previously created account. It is not necessary to do this, but if you are concerned about the security of the system, it is better to use this opportunity all the same. In the first two fields, enter the same arbitrary password with which in the future you will enter the system. You can make any word or expression in the “Enter Hint” field that will help to remember the code if you suddenly forget it. Then press “Next”. The same button should be pressed if you decide not to protect your account. Only then all the fields should be left empty.
  • The next step you need to enter the Microsoft licensed key. It should be in a box with a installation disk. Enter this code in the field, make sure that in front of the parameter “automatically activate” there is a mark, and click “Next”.
  • The window opens, where you should select the installed parameters from the three options:
  • “Use recommended”;
  • “Install the most important”;
  • “Postpone the decision”.

Installation of Windows 7 is not very difficult. The installer intenster is quite simple and intuitive, so even a beginner should cope with the task. But if you use the leadership from this article when installing, this will help you avoid all kinds of difficulties and problems that may nevertheless arise when performing this important procedure.
