Turn on the JVC camcorder, then wait while Windows detects the connection to the capture device. If Windows does not detect the camera, you may need to initialize the camera using the capture device software first.

Click on the name of your JVC camcorder in the list of available cameras or camcorders. Click the View or Test button to view the
video stream
from the camcorder. Close the preview window and click Apply or OK.
Step 4
Click on the Options, Options, or Tools link in the chat program’s menu bar. Go to the Camcorder, Video Settings, or Webcam Settings tab, or the link in the Preferences or Settings window.
Step 1
Connect the USB cable to an external video capture device. Connect the other end of the cable to your computer. When prompted, insert the installation disc for the capture device, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the device in Windows. You may need to restart your computer after installing the capture device.

Remove the recording tape, flash card or other media from the JVC camcorder. Open the connector cover on the back of the camera. Insert the small end of the USB cable into the corresponding port on the back of the camcorder. Connect the larger end of the cable to an empty USB port on your computer. Wait while Windows detects JVC camcorder and configures its driver.
