For round-the-clock recording, you must select “manual recording” and turn on the “video recording switch”
In this case, the duration of the archive recording will be about 5-6 days when using a memory card with a capacity of 64 GB.
The number of days of archive recording can be increased by specifying the recording time range. To do this, select “scheduled recording” and specify the recording time
To view the archive, go back to the list of devices and click the browse archive button

How to set up an ip camera via WI-FI?
When organizing a security system for an apartment, a country house, an office, it is not always convenient to use wired connections. Sometimes you need to configure an IP camera via WI-FI, which will allow you to receive an image from it online directly on the screen of your mobile device. The finished video, compressed to a convenient size, is instantly transmitted over network protocols. Further, with the help of Special programs, it can not only be viewed, but also processed.
Configuration via WI-FI
Working with setting up an IP camera via Wi-fi requires special software on a mobile device or computer. It can be obtained, depending on the type of camera, as follows:
- On the disc enclosed with the purchase. This is not available for all manufacturers’ models;
- Purchase from an authorized dealer;
- Download the camera manufacturer’s website and install it on your computer;
- Purchase dedicated apps for mobile devices.
It is best to configure the ip-camera using the program that can be found on the disk, this will avoid many mistakes.
- To the power grid;
- To a computer using ordinary twisted-pair Ethernet.
expensive models are capable of transmitting both power and picture via a single cable. The ip-camera is connected to a pleasant device either:
- Through a browser;
- Or through software.

Connection algorithm
The step-by-step algorithm for connecting an ip-camera is as follows:
- Determining initially the device’s IP address. Most likely it can be found on the stickers on the box.
- After that, the local network of the computer is assigned an IP address that has the parameters of the same subnet as the camera. To do this, go to the network management tab, find the Properties window there in the Local Area Connection menu, select the Internet Protocol Version 4 option and specify the camera’s IP address in the gateway settings.
- Change camera settings via browser. In the search term of any browser used, the default (general) IP addresses of the camera are hammered. The browser finds it and offers to enter the settings window. Password and login are in the camera instructions.
- When organizing a security system, only one IP camera is rarely used. Each of them will need to assign its own address. This will require some effort and the use of a WI-FI router.
Watching the video, setting up a WI-FI ip-camera for broadcasting over the Internet.
Connecting multiple cameras via Wi-fi router
The cameras are configured in the following way:
- Each of them must get their own ip-addresses. To do this, you need to connect it to the computer, then go to the “Administration” menu. After that, a side menu will appear, in which you need to select the “Configuration” tab and then go to network connections.
- Some routers offer the ability to automatically assign addresses to each individual device. The disadvantage of using it will be the inability to view images from cameras over the Internet. To select an option, tick “DSHP”.
- The camera is more difficult to configure manually. The address of the router is selected, each camera will receive a serial number, which will be put after the dot at the end of the address of the router. In the menu, a fixed addressing model is selected and sequential numbers are entered manually for each camera. In addition, you need to specify the data of the gateway and DNS IP, in both cases it will match the address of the router. The “Mask” parameter contains numbers 255.255.255.0, this is a parameter that determines the address of the subnet host.
- The port number is indicated. Usually by default it will be equal to “80”, if you cannot set it by default, then the number “8181” is written. It is NOT required to enter any more parameters, the columns of the settings window are left empty.
- Click “Apply”, disconnect the ip-camera from the computer and connect it to the router. At the same time, all automatic parameters are restored on the workstation.
- Enter the new address assigned to the camera into the browser. Enter the data of the Wi-fi router’s network into the windows. name and password. Save.
- Reboot the camera and check if it works.
Setting up an IP camera over Wi-fi is easy and takes half an hour. A little more time will be required for the subsequent configuration of the router, in which you need to register the ip-address and gateways of ip-cameras and the name of the used protocol, by default. ТСР with number 1.

How to connect a Wi-Fi camera to a router
Perhaps many people have a question about how to connect a wi-fi camera to a router. In fact, everything is very simple. Any wi-fi camera is connected according to the same principle, the first thing is to connect the Patchcord to the router, then through the browser you need to go to its web interface and configure the wi-fi connection. Now let’s take a closer look.
Typically, a new wireless camera has a static IP address. It is usually 192.168.1.108 or 192.168.1.10, but in any case, this IP address is indicated on the stickers of the camera itself or in the documentation. And so, for example, her IP addresses 192.168.1.108, connect her Patchcord to the router. Now look at the IP addresses on your computer, if it has a different subnet, you will not be able to enter the camera settings, that is, let’s say your IP address is 192.168.0.11. Then in this case you need to change the IP addresses on your computer, for example, to 192.168.1.11, leave the subnet mask 255.255.255.0, the rest of the settings are not important. Open the Internet Eplorer browser, it is best to enter the settings through it, because All cameras are designed for at least this browser. In the address bar of the browser, enter 192.168.1.108 and we get to the camera’s web interface.
Perhaps, depending on the manufacturer of the camera, a request may appear to install the activex add-on for the Internet Eplorer browser, I allow and Install. Now you will need to enter a username and password, as a rule, the username is admin and the password is admin, maybe without a password. Here already look in the documentation or on the stickers on the camera. Enter your username and password and then.
The main “screen” will appear where, depending on the manufacturer, a picture will be displayed in real time.
In this interface, there is a button “DEVICE” on top, in some cases there will be “SETUP WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS” or something similar. Click. The settings window will appear, click on the gears.
First of all, go to the wired network settings to enable the dhcp client (automatically obtain an IP address), you may not need this, but in most cases the dhcp server is enabled on the router to automatically distribute network settings.
Turn on the DHCP client. And press ok. Then the camera can get a different IP address from your router. Therefore, you may have to re-enter the camera web interface settings.
Now, to set up a wi-fi connection to the router, you need to go to network services and select WI-FI.
We put the checkbox on, click OK. Then again we go to WI-FI and click on Search to scan for wi-fi broadcast, then you will see your Wi-Fi network, select it. In the password field, you know what to write =). And if you need the camera to automatically receive IP addresses, check the DHCP box. And click OK.
