I personally use this extension in Google Chrome browser. But if, for example, you have a Yandex browser that runs on the same platform as Chrome, then you can try to install Loom in it by analogy.

So, our plan for today:

Let’s start by installing the extension and getting to know how it works. Next, I will show you the process of recording a presentation using this extension. Then I’ll demonstrate how to edit and save the finished video.

To install the Loom extension, in the Chrome browser, click on the ellipsis case, go to “Additional tools”. “Extensions”.

I suggest preparing a page with a presentation in advance. open it in a separate tab, and when you start recording, expand it to full screen.

And also write down the hotkeys for controlling the video recording on a piece of paper (it will put it in front of you). This is necessary if you want only the presentation and no unnecessary elements to be displayed on the screen, so I hid the control panel at the bottom left.

After we clicked on “Start Recording”, we will be asked to GIVE the program access to the screen. Select “Full screen” and click “Share”.

Switch to the tab with our presentation, expand it to full screen.

Move the cursor from the presentation to load 8 seconds so that the presentation controls disappear. Start voicing slides, toggles them with the right arrow on the keyboard. The arrows are at the bottom right of the keyboard.

Follow the slides of your presentation, if you need to pause the recording, remember the AltShiftP keyboard shortcut. To resume recording, press this combination again.
