SADP program for changing the settings of Hikvision IP cameras, manual, download. SADP program for changing the settings of Hikvision IP cameras, manual, download

So you have a Hikvision IP camera. You have done all the installation work and now you need to start your surveillance system.

We start by entering the IP address specified in the documentation for the IP camera. By default, the following access data is applied to all Hikvision IP cameras:

  • IP address. 192.0.0.64
  • Login. admin
  • Password. 12345

However, not everything is so simple, by entering the address used by Hikvision by default, you will receive a nice message “The web page is not available”.

The point is that your switch operates with a different address range. But in no case should they be changed. Changes are made in a completely different place, namely on the computer. We go to the Windows Network and Sharing Center and select the item. Local Area Connection.

Selecting the information button.

On the tab that opens, look at the default gateway.

From this window, we see that the computer is working on the network. 192.168.0 IP addresses, Hikvision cameras, as we remember. 192.0.0.64. Now you need to change the default IP address to 192.168.0.64.

This requires a program from Hikvision called SADP. You can download from the official website of Hikvision by the link.

After starting, the program will find the Hikvision IP cameras available in the network. The figure shows how this happens.

And now, in the right column, you should specify the required IP address and Gateway, and also, before clicking the Save button, enter the password. 12345. This password can be subsequently changed in the web interface of the IP camera.

Now after entering the new IP address, the image from the IP camera will appear.

Thus, IP cameras are connected to the computer.

It is even easier to connect an IP camera to a DVR. Below we provide. How to do it.

Below we give more detailed instructions for working with the SADP program.

  • Select device in SADP (you can also select multIPle devices to activate simultaneously and give them the same password),
  • Enter a new password for the device and confirm with “OK”.

View of the SADP program window in which the area for entering a new password and activating the device is highlighted in red.

The program automatically checks and displays the strength of the entered password. A strong password must contain from 8 to 16 characters, among which there must be at least three types of the following characters: numbers, lowercase letters, uppercase letters, special characters.

  • Select from the list the device whose parameters in the network will be changed (the list of network parameters available for changing is displayed in the right part of the program). If DHCP function is enabled, only some parameters can be changed, such as SDK Port (default 8000) and HTTP Port (default 80). The rest of the network parameters (for example, IP address, mask, gateway) are assigned automatically via a DHCP server. If IPv6 addressing is used, it must be supported by the device. As in the case of the DHCP function, which must be supported by both the device and the router on the network to which they are connected.
  • If DHCP does not work, it is possible to manually change all available network parameters (for example, IP address, mask, gateway, etc.),
  • For all settings to be saved, you must enter the password to access the camera and confirm it with the Save button.
Hiwatch IP Camera Activation Password
  • Click on one device and drag with the mouse to highlight sequential parameters, which will be available for editing in the right part of the settings window, you must enter the starting IP addresses (for example, if three devices are selected and the starting address is 192.168.1.64, the devices will be sequentially displayed address 192.168.1.65, 192.168.1.66)
  • You can also select the “Enable DHCP in Batch” function to automatically assign network parameters such as IP address, mask, gateway to selected devices.,
  • To save all settings, you must enter the access password for the devices and confirm it with the “Save” button.

SADP window view. An area is highlighted in red, in which, with active options, it is possible to assign network parameters to a group of devices.

4. Password recovery by default. In case of problems with access to the camera or DVR caused by the wrong password, it is possible to reset it to factory settings. Hikvision provides two ways to recover the default password depending on the firmware version (with firmware version higher than V3.3.0 in the DVR. And higher than V5.3.0 in cameras, the second method is provided). First method: Select in the main window of the SADP program the device whose password we want to restore to factory settings. If the password recovery window looks like the following figure, follow these steps:

  • Select device,
  • Copy the date and time from the SADP program from the Start Time tab and from the Device Serial NO tab.
  • Send information to technical support deltavideo.Info@gmail.com
  • Within 1-2 business days, you will be sent an unlock code,
  • Select the device we want to unlock,
  • The received security code must be inserted into the “Security Code” window and confirmed with the OK button,
  • The device access password will be reset to factory settings (login: admin, password: 12345)
  • Select device,
  • In the tab next to the Export button, you should specify the location where the file will be saved, allowing you to recover the password (you should select the folder in which the exported file will be located with the name DeviceKey.Xml)
  • Click the “Export” button
  • Then the file must be sent to the technical support deltavideo.Info@gmail.com. A password unlock file will be sent within 1-2 business days,
  • Select the device we want to unlock
  • To unlock the device, you need to specify the password unlock file next to the import button, and then click the Import button,
  • The password for the device will be reset to factory settings.

In the SADP window. The area of export and import of files is highlighted in red, allowing you to reset the password to factory settings. The password for the administrator account will be restored to the factory settings. In the case of the first method described above, the default is 12345, in the case of the second method, you need to set a new password when activating the camera or DVR (no default password). When you log in for the first time, you must set or change a password to prevent unauthorized access by third parties. We strongly recommend that you use a strong password for increased security. A strong password must contain from 8 to 16 characters, among which there must be at least three types of the following characters: numbers, lowercase letters, uppercase letters, special characters.

5. Resetting and assigning a new administrator password.

It is possible to create a new administrator password if it is lost. To do this, in the “Reset password” tab:

The value of the “Start time” field (For example: 2014-05-22 1:11 PM), which can be found on the right side of the table

SADP password reset problems

When using SADP to reset the device, it is highly recommended to connect the device directly to the PC.

Error: Get key error

When exporting the key file, SADP says: reset password failed

When exporting a key XML file, SADP displays a Get key error message

PC and device are connected through more than one switch, which DO NOT support multi-cast function

The PC and the device are connected through a router, and the NAT function is enabled on the router and on the device

PC IP address changed while opening SADP software

Incorrect device firmware

When the device and PC are connected through more than one switch, please make sure the routers support the multi-cast function, as it is necessary for the device activation and reset process.

When the PC and the device are connected through a router, try to disable the NAT function in the router and the device. When NAT is activated, the device does NOT receive multi-cast messages.

When the PC and device are directly connected and the IP address of the PC has changed while SADP was open, just restart SADP

Try to flash the device, for example Using TFTP

Error: Reset password failed

When exporting a key file, SADP reports: reset password failed Possible reasons

You may be trying to use an already used or old xml key file.

Perhaps you have generated a new xml key for sending, in this case, the old Sbrs files are no longer suitable.

There may be problems with the file sent to you

PC address changed while SADP was open

Make sure you are using the current file = unlock key

Make sure you have not rebooted the device and have not formed a new file

Key to send.

Invite a new key file to technical support

When the PC and device are directly connected and the IP address of the PC has changed while SADP is open, just restart SADP

SADP does not see the device

If SADP DOES NOT show Hikvison devices on LAN.

First, try disabling all antiviruses and firewalls, if this did not help, then one of the reasons may be an error in the Winpcap network scanner.
Try to reinstall the scanner itself, downloaded the latest version from the link http://www.Winpcap.org/. After that, restart your computer and try to open SADP again.

If SADP does NOT display only some devices or a single device. The problem may be related to Incorrect loading of the device itself or damage to the eGoProgram.

In this case, check the integrity of the cable, does the camera react to the closing of the light sensor to turn on the IR illumination? If the camera responds, but the camera is still not visible in SADP, try reflashing the camera using a TFTP server.
