TimeWarp Option
The last difference I’d like to highlight is the addition of TimeWarp to the GoPro Hero 7. When you used to want to shoot on the move, it was a little risky. Timewarp solves this problem. If you know what Hyperlapse on Instagram is, then GoPro’s new feature should be easy to master. To put it simply, TimeWarp adds stabilization to the sewing process of SINGLE frames for smooth performance. It’s a fun, easy and effective way to add variety to yours.
Design and dimensions
A glance at both cameras makes it clear that there are visible design differences between the cameras that are worth noting. The body remained almost the same, except that it added 4 mm in width and became thinner by 1 mm. Water resistance without additional “body” has also risen. 10 m. The mounting arsenal also maintains continuity.
Differences between GoPro Hero 7 Silver and Hero 7 White cameras
These cameras are simplified versions of the Hero 7 Black. First and foremost, Silver shoots up to 4K / 30fps, while White only shoots up to 1080p / 60fps. The second difference in light of the Hero 7 Black improvements. both sisters lack HyperSmooth stabilization, Live Streaming and HDR mode.
Plus slow motion, both White and Silver can only shoot up to 2x. The rest of the changes are comments, except that only the color of the case, a non-removable battery, and the absence of a front status display.
GoPro Hero 7 Black and how it differs from Hero 6 Black
GoPro has officially unveiled its new Hero 7 FlagshIP Action Cameras. The GoPro Hero 7 Black topper is now truly black, not gray. But there were also two cameras Silver and White, slightly different characteristics and capabilities. Let’s take a look at the difference between GoPro Hero 7 Black and Hero 6 Black to understand what we will have, albeit for the same money. While it’s also interesting to see if the GoPro Hiro 7 can replace your smartphone or camera.

Audio
Another major change in the GoPro Hero 7 Black from the Hero 6 is the more advanced audio recording. A three-microphone recording system is now used. As noted in the Hero 7 review, the bass has become noticeably richer, the mids are clearer. Noticeably better wind noise reduction processing.
Image stabilization
Both the GoPro Hero 7 Black and Hero 6 Black use electronic image stabilization. Of course, enthusiasts can argue that after capturing a frame, additional image processing in the camera is unacceptable, so only optical stabilization can take place. But in this case, its capabilities are physically limited by the design of the lens with a stabilizer, and in the electronic version, therefore, there are much more options.
The stabilization improvements that GoPro brings to HyperSmooth will save a lot more of your daily footage from the trash can. This is arguably the most important update for the Hero 7 Black. On Hero 5 Black, the stabilization worked with a jelly-like effect around the edges. The situation improved with the arrival of Hero 6, but there were still some problems, usually when you made sharp movements.
With the GoPro Hero 7 Black, you can forget forever in shaking. Compared to the Hero 6 Black, the stabilization improvements are significant, and in relation to the Hero 5, the novelty went light years ahead. The most important consequence of this improvement is that you don’t have to carry the gimbals with a stabilizer. Perhaps the stabilization on the smartphone is just as good, but does the IPhone or Honor like being submerged in water??
GoPro Hero 7 Black vs Hero 6 Black differences
Streaming
Another major improvement over the GoPro Hero 7 Black over the Hero 6 Black is streaming. Previously, it was also possible to upload a shot with a GoPro Hero 6 to the Internet, but this was time-consuming and quite laborious. Now it’s as easy as launching the GoPro app on your smartphone. just press a button.
Now streaming is limited or RTMP (which can be sent to YouTube, etc.), but there are still native services coming, potentially a huge step forward. Live is a feature that permeates everywhere, and it’s not the GoPro Hero 7 that opens that door first. But compared to Hero 6 to share your vacation, real-time adventure and travel is much more GoPro. Again, a smartphone can do all this, but try to shoot with it in the field when you need hands-free.
So what’s the difference between GoPro Hero 7 and Hero 6?
Let’s sum up the differences between Hero 7 and Hero 6.
1. Design: both models are structurally the same except for minor aesthetic nuances.
2. Image stabilization: Significantly improved in Hero 7 Black. Now you can do without special stabilizer holders.
3. Parameters: both cameras are identical.
4. Streaming: Live Streaming in Hero 7 Black makes it much easier to uploads on the Internet compared to Hero 6.
5. Audio: Built-in audio recording in GoPro Hero 7 Black is greatly improved.
6. Power supply: both the battery and its life are the same in both cameras.
As noted above, the GoPro Hero 7 Black is a window into a new social era. Image stabilization greatly expands the shooting capabilities. And streaming lets you quickly share your results on social media. Considering that the Hero 7 Black starts at the same price as the Hero 6, it is clear in whose favor the choice should be made.

Gameplay testing of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 card in 30 games: a fly in the ointment
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 is based on the 28nm Kepler microarchitecture and was released to the market in summer 2013. It is based on the popular GK104 chIP at that time, various variations of which also formed the basis for the GeForce GTX 770, GTX 680, GTX 670 and GTX 660 Ti cards.
In the case of the GeForce GTX 760, it includes 1152 CUDA cores, 96 texture units and 32 bitmap units. The base frequency was 980 MHz, and the dynamic frequency rises to 1033 MHz. The memory is represented by GDDR5 chIPs with a total volume of 2 or 4 GB with an effective frequency of 6 GHz and a 256-bit bus.
In the market, it competed with AMD Radeon HD 7950 and HD 7950 with Boost.
We didn’t have a GeForce GTX 760, but again our colleagues from the Overclockers.Ua website helped out. They borrowed a Palit GeForce GTX 760 JetStream for the test, which stands out with a factory overclocked GPU by 10% and memory by 3%.
In addition, its power circuits use DrMOS chIPs, and for cooling there is a massive cooler with three 6mm heat pIPes, an aluminum radiator and two 88mm fans. As a result, the GPU temperature did NOT exceed 75 ° C with a critical reading of 97 ° C, and the clock speed in games was 1202 MHz.
The following stand was used for testing:
An external system with AVerMedia Live Gamer 4K was used to record gameplay in Full HD resolution, that is, without loss of performance.
According to the new tradition, let’s start the GeForce GTX 760 test with a comparison with the current card, so that it would be easier for you to navigate when upgrading the system. To do this, we selected the ASUS GeForce GTX 1050 3GB Phoenix model with a compact single-fan cooler and reference clock frequencies.
Its GPU has fewer CUDA cores, texture and raster units, but they run at higher speeds. Also, the GeForce GTX 1050 has 3 GB of memory, but with a 96-bit bus, so its bandwidth is much lower than that of the GeForce GTX 760. In short, without tests it is NOT possible to figure out which of them is better.
PUBG at low settings requires a little more than 2 GB of memory, but in a system with a 760th, the load on RAM does not increase from this. GTX 1053 is 3 FPS faster in average speed, but loses out in very rare events by the same difference.
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the situation is already becoming unambiguous: a maximum of 5 FPS ahead of the GTX 1053. Here it is already clearly seen that the 760th compensates for the lack of memory from RAM.
In The Evil Within 2, the gap between the cards is within 3-5 frames per second, which in this case is equivalent to a maximum of 23%. In both cases, the GPU is NOT fully loaded, according to the monitoring, but the 760 also had to use RAM to store game data.
With heavy Far Cry 5, the situation returns to its usual course: lack of memory leads to the use of a slower operating system, which negatively affects speed performance. GTX 1053 advantage rises to 12 FPS or 30%.
Subtotal. The 3GB GeForce GTX 1050 is faster in games that require more than 2GB of memory. If the buffer is enough with a margin, then the advantage over the 760 is due to the larger number of structural blocks in the GPU and higher memory bandwidth. For the owners of this card, we recommend looking to the side of at least GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, and preferably 1060, RX 570 or RX 580, to upgrade. If you wish, you can wait for the price reduction for the GTX 1660 or the debut of AMD Navi.
If you’re just looking at the aftermarket GeForce GTX 760, then let’s take a look at its versatility in games. By tradition, let’s start with simpler projects.
With ultra settings in the HD client, World of Tanks on some maps requires more than 2 GB of memory, which is fraught with microfreezes. There are no such problems with the maximum profile. Even the indicator of very rare events does NOT fall below 50 frames / s, so you can easily irritate your opponents on a fast tank.
The Kino profile in War Thunder did not give 760 any particular problems. There is enough memory with a small margin, the average speed rises above 60 FPS and everything was comfortable with the control.
Good thing in ARK: Survival Evolved, you need to fine-tune the settings to achieve the optimal ratio of picture quality and row speed. But we didn’t have time for that, so we just took the middle profile and began to study the location. Sometimes dinosaurs came across, but more often stators jumped, so the 0.1% Low indicator fell below 10 fps.
In RUST, it has traditionally taken more time to select the settings than to record the final gameplay. And in the end it turned out as always: a playable frame rate in an already studied location and freezes as a gift when running through uncharted fields.
Research shows that the transition to the Free-to-Play model and the addition of the Danger Zone mode have raised the statistics of CS: GO online. At low settings, we get over 170 FPS on average, without any jitter in the row and control. Memory needs less than 1 GB.
Over the past few months, NVIDIA has seriously revamped its line of discrete graphics adapters. After the announcement of the top-end GeForce GTX TITAN and GeForce GTX 780. A productive GeForce GTX 770 was presented. According to the manufacturer, now is the best time to upgrade the cards in the mid-price segment, which means the time has come for the GeForce GTX 760. What NVIDIA offers for amateurs play, Who are ready to spend about 250 on the card?
Judging by previous NVIDIA announcements, it is easy to understand that the manufacturer plans to make the most of the Kepler graphics architecture. The company’s resources are NOT unlimited, and there is no serious need for fundamentally new solutions yet. After the fact that the GeForce GTX 760 card is based on the GK104 GPU is unlikely to surprise anyone.
Recall that this GPU in various variations is also used for the GeForce GTX 680, GTX 670, GTX 660 Ti and even the recently introduced GTX 770. Undoubtedly, for a more affordable solution, the chIP will be somewhat simplified. Let’s see what went under the knife. So, in the version GK104 used for the GeForce GTX 760, two of the eight SMX modules are deactivated. This means that the number of computational processors in comparison with the maximum configuration has been reduced by 384. from 1536 to 1152. In this case, about a quarter of the CUDA blocks are not used. The number of texture units (TMU) is 96. In versions for GTX 670/660 Ti, the chIP contains 7 SMX modules and, accordingly, 1344 calculators. In addition, the number of TMUs in both cases is 112.

At first glance, such a truncation of functional blocks seems excessive, but let’s see what compensation mechanisms are provided by the manufacturer? If we compare the technical characteristics of the new product with those for the GTX 660 Ti, then, first of all, let us note that the number of ROP units has been increased from 24 to 32 (the same in the GTX 670 / GTX 680). However, the most important difference, perhaps, is the width of the memory bus. If the GTX 660 Ti uses a 192-bit bus, the GTX 760 has a 256-bit bus. With the same GDDR5 clock frequency (6008 MHz), the memory bandwidth in this case differs by about a third. 192 GB / s versus 144 GB / s.
Another effective method of increasing performance is to increase the operating clock speed of the graphics GoProcessor. The base value in this case is 980 MHz, while the average value after dynamic acceleration is 1033 MHz. Like other members of the GeForce GTX 700 line, the new product supports advanced GPU Boost 2.0 auto-overclocking technology, which allows you to more efficiently use the potential of the GPU.
If the previously presented GeForce GTX 770, in fact, was a turbocharged modification of the GTX 680, then for the GeForce GTX 760 a combination of parameters is used that is not typical for devices of the previous line. Probably, reducing the number of computational units will allow the use of crystals that have NOT been validated for use in older models of cards. Despite the fact that production according to 28nm standards is already well established on TSMC lines, there is a technological flaw in any case, the only question is its volume. GK104 is a fairly large crystal with an area of 294 mm2. And if there was even the slightest opportunity to lower the cost of production, the manufacturer probably used it. However, this is just an assumption, accurate information about such issues is classified information.
For the reference GeForce GTX 760, the developer uses the design previously used for the GTX 670 / GTX 660 Ti / GTX 660 adapters, with a compact 17 cm PCB and a fairly simple cooling system equIPped with a centrifugal fan. There is not even a trace of the “titanium” decoration of the older models. A neat, albeit nondescrIPt block with a plastic black casing does NOT take up more than two expansion slots and, thanks to its fairly compact dimensions (length. 240 mm), will fit in virtually any case.
The top cover covers the printed circuit board quite tightly, so that most of the heat will be discharged outside the system unit through the ventilation grill on the interface panel. The mounting plate traditionally contains four outputs. two DVI, as well as full-format HDMI and DisplayPort.
The declared thermal package of the GeForce GTX 760 is 170 watts. At the same time, to connect additional power, the reference adapter contains two six-pin connectors, and the recommended power of the PSU used in the system is 500 W.
To test the capabilities of the GeForce GTX 760, we used a reference model with the recommended frequency formula. 980/1033 MHz, 6008 MHz.
Performance
Comparing the capabilities of the GeForce GTX 760 with those of the older model of the new line, we note that they are separated by 15-25%. After overclocking, the novelty manages to compensate for such a gap in some cases, but this is still rather an exception. NVIDIA managed to separate the devices into different niches and forced modifications will NOT compete with cards rated at a higher rank. Of course, this is good primarily for the manufacturer.
The confrontation between GeForce GTX 660 Ti and GeForce GTX 760 is very interesting. As you can see, in most cases the increased memory bus bandwidth, the number of ROP units, as well as the increased clock frequency can more than compensate for the decrease in computing units and TMUs. In standard modes, the GTX 760 outperforms its predecessor by about 5-15%. However, taking the difference in the number of functional blocks and the actual methods of obtaining a given level of performance, the delta of the indicators of these adapters varies markedly.
A competitor to the GeForce GTX 760 from the state of AMD is formally the Radeon HD 7950, which is available in retail at a price of 320.However, we decided to complicate the task a little for a beginner by offering him to compete with the Radeon HD 7970 with the recommended frequency formula. 925/5500 MHz. Surprisingly, in a rivalry with a higher class, the GeForce GTX 760 did NOT look like a whIPping boy. Yes, the novelty on the GK104 is predictably inferior to the Radeon HD 7970 in synthetic tests (although less than expected), but in games it sometimes competed on equal terms with the venerable AMD accelerator. The modification of the Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition is already significantly ahead of the GTX 760, but considering the difference in price, it would be quite strange if the situation was different.

1080P @ 30fps mode
Compare the operating time of GoPro Hero 5 and 6 There was no significant and obvious advantage of this or that camera, but there are some differences, for example, in 1080p @ 30fps and 4K @ 30fps modes, GoPro Hero 6 worked more (by 4-9 minutes) both in 1080P @ 60fps and 2.7K@60fps modes, the victory was with the GoPro Hero 5 camera (for 5-6 minutes). A special test is worth noting the duration of shooting GoPro Hero 6 and 7 Black in 4K @ 60fps mode. the old man GoPro Hero 6 won the victory, while the seven worked almost 16 minutes less and heated up like an iron.
35-36 minutes, second shutdown about 45 minutes. This is terrible. Not only does it get terribly hot, but under the same modes it shoots much less in time, which is noticeable from the results in the table.
