4MP IP CCTV camera with audio Azishn A191799

cctv, cameras, record, sound

4 megapixel CCTV cameras appeared on Aliexpress at a price below 25.

Camera “AZISHN IP Camera 4MP H.265 Audio Recording ONVIF Outdoor Waterproof IP66” is built on a 4-megapixel SC5239 sensor and XM530AI processor.

A year ago, I bought twelve different IP cameras on Ali to find the best price-quality ratio. All my requirements were met by Azishn cameras (aka Gadinan) with Sony matrices (mySKU.me/blog/aliexpress/73607.html).

cp plus dvr me mic kaise lagaye | cp plus dvr mic connection | dvr mic installation

Now this manufacturer has inexpensive 4-megapixel cameras on Chinese matrices, and I decided to compare them with “last year”.

A camera with a 12 volt power supply costs 24.98, with a POE 48V 27.88. In addition to the standard 3.6mm lens (90 ° viewing angle), 6mm and 8mm (Narrow and Super Narrow Angle) can be selected upon purchase.

The seller specifies the following parameters:

Sensor: 1 / 2.7 “SC5239 4MP CMOS sensor, IR shutter;
Processor: XM530AI, H.265AI / H.265 / H.265 / H.264 encoding, 4MP: 15fps, 3MP: 25fps, ONVIF support;
Backlight: 6 LEDs, visibility up to 25 meters;
Case: full metal, 16.36.1 cm, IP66;
Connection: RJ-45 and 12V or RJ-45 powered by Ethernet cable;
Features: Built-in microphone, motion detection, XMeye cloud support.

The set includes a sealed cover for the RJ-45 connector, three dowels and a self-tapping screw, a self-adhesive lining, instructions.

There is a rubber gasket between the two metal halves of the camera body, all body parts and mounts are metal. The visor is part of the body (it is not removable or movable). The camera can be used both outdoors and indoors.

The main purpose of this camera is to use it with video recorders (ONVIF and NetIP protocols are supported, motion detection works), in addition, it can be used autonomously to view the picture through the XMeye cloud without recording.

The camera uses the XiongMaiTech (XM) IVG-80X40PS-S module. The microphone is fixed on the back of the chamber and sealed with sealant.

Module characteristics from the manufacturer’s website.

In the firmware for 4MP mode, you can select up to 21 frames per second, for 3MP and FullHD up to 25 frames per second. Although the seller writes that 4MP only works with the H.265AI codec, in the settings you can set any of the four codecs (H.264, H.264, H.265, H.265) for all modes.

The camera is equipped with a retractable IR-cut filter (IR-CUT) and infrared illumination, 1.8 W, six LEDs.

In day mode, the camera with a 12 volt power supply consumes about 120 mA, in night mode with a backlight. 270 mA.

The software part of the camera is exactly the same as that of the Azishn cameras, which I wrote about last year.

The video from the camera can be watched through the XMeye cloud mobile application (the smartphone can be located even on the other side of the globe, the real IP address in the network to which the camera is connected is not required). To connect the camera to the application, just start a search in it when the smartphone is connected to the same network as the camera.

The web interface of the camera works only in Internet Explorer (requires the installation of the ActiveX extension), it is the same as that of most Chinese cameras and DVRs.

Configuring motion detection. By default, detection is disabled, you must check the “on” box and click OK.

Firmware version after over-the-air update.

Cameras work well both with Chinese recorders, in particular with Enster N9000-8EX, and with branded ones (I have a Dahua DHI-XVR7108H at home). Motion recording works everywhere. Sound recording also works, but the sound is quite quiet and “dull”.

Switching the resolution, you can find that the picture in 2MP and 3MP formats is cropped at the bottom, and in 4MP format it is squashed.

It turned out that the matrix has a strange physical aspect ratio. 14: 9. For 2MP and 3MP resolutions, information is taken from the top of the matrix with a “correct” 16: 9 format, for 4MP resolution, the entire picture is taken from the matrix, but at 2560×1440 it turns out to be flattened. To ensure that the aspect ratio of the image is not distorted, the size of the picture must be 2240×1440 pixels.

However, for video surveillance, the accuracy of the proportions is not very important.

To assess the quality of the picture, the camera was placed over a window in the center of the room. The distance from the camera to the cabinet is 5 meters. To view the picture in full resolution, open the image in a new window. All images are taken in full resolution.

Resolution test (the sheet occupies exactly one third of the frame in height).

Fragment of the image of the resolution test under artificial light and in the dark.

In order to check what real resolution this camera gives, I did a very simple manipulation. I reduced the picture with a fragment of the image in a graphic editor by 1.33 and 2 times, and then enlarged it back. This corresponds to downgrading to 2MP (1920×1080) and 1MP (1280×720). The resulting picture in 2MP resolution is no different from the original 4MP.

It can be concluded that the real resolution of the matrix and the optical system of the camera is 2MP.

The camera gives a good picture, but its detail does not differ from the 2MP camera on the Sony matrix. This could be expected, because the cameras on modules with SC sensors, which I tested last year, gave 1 MP with the declared 2 MP.

The advantages of this camera model are the built-in microphone and good illumination. I do not know what the letters AI in the name of the new XM processor mean, but I hope that this is artificial intelligence and the camera will make fewer mistakes when detecting motion than last year’s models.

Key Features of IP CCTV Cameras

An IP camera is a video surveillance camera with an integrated web server and the ability to connect to Wi-Fi. IP CCTV cameras with WI-FI with online function are, in addition to a recording device, also a progressive translator of video information using network protocols to absolutely any place on the planet. In addition, current IP cameras have the following features: motion sensors, built-in microphones and speakers; the ability to send electronic messages; ability to work with a modem.

What types of surveillance cameras are and what are their features?

In addition to the difference in the place of installation, construction, there are also differences in the following aspects:

  • analog and digital (the image quality, the size of the recorded data, receiving devices, transmission speed and other parameters depend on this);
  • wired and wireless video surveillance cameras;
  • CCTV camera with recording, live broadcast, the ability to record only the image, or both the image and the sound;
  • anti-vandal video surveillance cameras with increased protection against external mechanical influences;
  • CCTV cameras in a thermal casing or any other additional design features necessary for using the device in special conditions (low or high temperatures, high humidity, and so on);
  • cameras with different viewing angles and focal lengths, different light sensitivity and lighting conditions;
  • color and black and white cameras;
  • cameras with wide dynamic range WDR;
  • simple devices (such as a dome CCTV camera) and with advanced functionality;
  • ip CCTV cameras, with Wi-Fi connection (local, remote, with control and video broadcast recording).

CCTV Cameras

CCTV cameras are a very popular and effective element of the security system. CCTV cameras work on the principle of broadcasting the image coming through the lens and filters to the light sensor, and from there in the form of an electrical signal to the processor. The processor processes the data and transmits it to the receiving device: PC, video server, operator display, cloud, and so on.

Indoor and outdoor CCTV cameras

There are a number of fundamental differences between the types of video cameras. One of the main ones is the place of installation and, accordingly, the conditions of use, design features.

  • Outside (outside). As a rule, such outdoor CCTV cameras are characterized by increased requirements for protection from adverse external influences. Most models have a special sealed protective case, in which a heating system can also be used. for operation at low temperatures.
  • Internal. CCTV cameras for home, office, installation inside any other room. Most often they have lower protection parameters, do not require a sealed casing, heating system. They can be more mobile, have a small size, have advanced functionality (for example, record high-quality sound).

What determines the price of a CCTV camera?

For video surveillance devices, the price is set depending on the tasks that need to be performed using it. A simple protection system with online broadcasting of an analog signal will cost several times cheaper than an ip-camera with Wi-Fi connection, recording, broadcast control and camera.

In accordance with the task at hand, the CCTV camera itself is selected, the price of which will also depend on purely physical parameters. expensive models include anti-vandal protection, a sealed case, heating, and offer a wide range of functionality.

Cloud service for IP cameras CamDrive

This cloud service appeared at the end of 2011. CamDrive aims to work only with its CCTV cameras, which bear the same name. Unfortunately, cameras from other manufacturers are not supported by this service.

How to Add Audio to Your CCTV System

Among the shortcomings, there is the lack of a free tariff, low bitrate on inexpensive tariffs (and therefore the image quality leaves much to be desired).

Using the equipment of this manufacturer, together with the CamDrive service, assumes a fairly quick and convenient setup. you just need to connect the camera to a power source and the Internet, then the device is automatically recognized by the cloud service, and starts working without any computer or router settings. To view the image from the camera, you need to go to the site using your username and password indicated on the registration card included in the kit. Website: http://www.camdrive.ru.

Cloud service for RVi cameras. SpaceCam

Cloud service for RVi SpaceCam cameras

Video surveillance equipment company RVi has launched its own service called SpaceCam. This cloud only supports IP cameras with their own firmware. RVi (not all models), HiWatch, SpaceCam. To use the service, you do not need a dedicated IP address, and the camera connection settings are made very easily and simply according to the user manual.

The disadvantage of this service can be called working only with your own cameras, and therefore it is not suitable for a wide range of users. But he also has a different goal. to organize his own cloud service to ensure the convenience of the consumer’s connection of his products, and its binding to his own cloud.

SpaceCam’s tariffs practically do not differ from the conditions of other services. there is the possibility of free connection without keeping an archive, and to record a video stream into the archive, you will need to switch to one of the paid tariffs. The cheapest tariff for individuals is “Standard”, its cost is 300 rubles / camera. When you connect this tariff, you will have the opportunity to store the archive on the site for 7 days. On tariffs “Optimum” (400 rubles) and “Premium” (500 rubles), the possibility of keeping an archive increases to 2 and 4 weeks, respectively. Recording at all tariffs is carried out by movement.

To access CCTV cameras from mobile platforms, you need to download a free application for Android or iOS. Website http://spacecam.ru.

Application area

Most often, home cloud video surveillance is used for the following needs:

  • Monitoring the activities of domestic staff;
  • Observing pets;
  • Ensuring the safety of children and elderly people left at home without supervision;
  • Control over the adjoining territory and the situation inside the house.

For large objects (schools, offices, firms, workshops, etc.), the functionality of the cloud service can be expanded by purchasing a paid service package.

This opens up more opportunities:

  • Monitoring the work of employees, compliance with labor discipline, and customer service;
  • Control over the performance of machine tools and other equipment in production;
  • Video surveillance in kindergartens and schools, etc.

The trend of 2017-2018 is the introduction of video analytics capabilities by cloud services. counting visitors, control of being in the workplace, passage time, etc. Behind this lies the future of cloud services, and gradually all large clouds are introducing this opportunity for their customers.

There are several rather convenient domestic cloud video surveillance services. Some of them work only with their own equipment, others have the ability to connect cameras from any manufacturer.

Rating of cloud services from Nablyudaykin

Dear friends! We have launched our own rating of cloud video surveillance services! We tried to collect in it the most popular services that are known at the time of 2018, now there are 10 services in it, at least 5 more will be added soon.

Cloud video surveillance from IVideon

One of the pioneers of cloud video surveillance in Russia is the domestic company Ivideon. At the moment, this cloud video surveillance service is actively used all over the world, and is gaining momentum. In addition to cloud surveillance, Ivideon offers both its own IP cameras for video surveillance via the Internet (under the Ivideon brand), and cameras from other manufacturers (Hikvision, Nobelic), with the installed firmware tailored for the use of this service. Cameras from other manufacturers also appear on the market with Ivideon support at the firmware level.

Setting principle. To set up online broadcasting using these devices, you only need to connect the device to the router and set up an Internet connection. the camera will automatically connect to the service and start broadcasting the image to the Internet in real mode, and to view it, you just need to go to your personal account. It is also possible to purchase the Ivideon Server program to connect any third-party IP cameras.

What do you need to connect? The convenience of using the service lies in the fact that to set up video surveillance via the Internet, you will not need to obtain a static IP address from the provider and do port forwarding on the router and delve into other technical issues. To implement cloud surveillance for IVideon video surveillance via a computer (for example, via a WEB-camera, or a third-party IP camera), you will need to install two programs: IVideon Server and IVideon Client.

The first one can be purchased by leaving a request on the Ivideon website. you will receive a download link. By installing it on your computer, you can connect the camera to the service. The second program is downloaded for free and installed on the device from which you plan to remotely monitor what is happening (laptop, smartphone, tablet, etc.). All you need to do in the future is to enter a login with a password from your personal account in the application, and you will immediately have access to a picture from the connected camera. You can also watch the video stream online directly from your personal account on the Ivideon website.

What conditions? To date, the operation of cameras with Ivideon Server requires a local license. One license allows you to connect one IP camera to Ivideon Server.

Ivideon Server provides two types of licenses:

  • Ivideon Standalone. for cameras under the Ivideon and Nobelic brands.
  • Ivideon Standalone Plus. for any supported cameras, ONVIF, RTSP.

Also, all users of the Ivideon service can connect a tariff plan to store video in the cloud. the cost will be from 360 rubles / month. Users of any Ivideon cloud tariff plan can install Ivideon Server for free.

You can find out detailed and up-to-date information on tariffs on the company’s website https://ru.ivideon.com.

Cloud video surveillance: 7 relevant services

The emergence of modern cloud services greatly simplifies the task of creating a video surveillance system. When connecting cameras to the cloud, in most cases you do not need a static IP address, and you also don’t have to fiddle with router settings: just perform a few simple manipulations with the equipment, or download the server program to your computer, and then download the program to the device from which you plan to conduct surveillance, and the system is almost ready to use.

In some cases, you can do without programs altogether, when it is possible to view the video stream through the service website. These services have good data protection, and have found their customers both among ordinary citizens and in large businesses. With the help of them, you can monitor the activities of domestic staff (nannies, housekeepers, etc.), as well as company employees from anywhere in the world. it would be possible to access the Internet.

In this article, we will tell you about the most relevant cloud services for video surveillance today, as well as analyze the process of creating a surveillance system based on them.

YOULOOK Cloud

Cloud video surveillance using the YOULOOK service is supported by cameras from certain manufacturers with pre-installed firmware: Axis, Hikvision and Vivotek. These devices can be purchased on the cloud website: they are already ready to use, and to connect the camera to the service, you need to register on the website, and then in the “My cameras” section, enter the Mac address of the device, and the camera will automatically start transmitting the video stream to the cloud server.

Support for third-party cameras. It is possible to connect third-party cameras, but this requires a dedicated IP address or DynDNS setup. You will also need to configure port forwarding on your router. In order for an IP camera from any other manufacturer to start working with the service, you need to make sure that it supports the RTSP protocol, as well as the H.264 video compression format. Detailed instructions for connecting can be found on the cloud website in the FAQ section.

Conditions. You can use the youlook cloud service for free, while the possible number of connected cameras will be limited to two. To maintain an archive and connect an unlimited number of cameras, you must select the YouLook Home tariff, the subscription fee for which is 300 rubles / month with the ability to continuously record what is happening and keep the archive for 24 hours. You can find a complete list of tariffs on the service website http://youlook.ru.

Dimensions:

The Szsinocam SN-IPC-3019FBSW13 IP camera is quite compact in size and is made in a cylindrical form factor (Bullet). Its dimensions are about 170mm63mm. By tradition, a comparison with a thousandth banknote and a box of matches:

Brief performance characteristics:

General view of the IP camera SN-IPC-3019FBSW13:

This IP camera was bought in the hope of building a low-cost video surveillance for the parking lot, so that at any time you could see what was happening there with the iron horse. At the time of purchase, it cost about 70 (taking into account the points, about 50 came out), now it is cheaper.

Equipment:

The IP camera is delivered in a compact glossy blue-white box:

Unfortunately, I did not see any company logo and model name, but from the ends there are the main features of the camera and the parameters for connection:

It should be noted that most of the Szsinocam camera models are delivered in these “nameless” boxes. Everything is tightly packed inside the box, and for additional protection during transportation, there are liners made of foamed polyethylene:

To power the camera, the set includes a power supply unit with a Euro plug, designed for 12V / 1A, wire length 1m:

As practice shows, the quality of the bundled power supplies is at an average level, but given the low consumption of the camera, this is by no means critical. I would like to note that some models are supplied without a power supply at all, so, in my opinion, this is a big plus, especially for users who are not fond of hardware. Offline, such a power supply unit costs about 500-600r (10).

For wireless connection of the camera (via Wi-Fi), there are two detachable antennas:

Sometimes support for a wireless connection is very useful, especially when there is no desire or opportunity to stretch a twisted pair (RJ45).

Since connecting the camera is not always easy, a detailed instruction manual in English is included in the kit:

In total, the equipment is good, everything is available for work “out of the box”.

Disassembly of the camera:

It is quite easy to disassemble the SN-IPC-3019FBSW13 IP camera. To do this, unscrew three screws from the end and then remove the front part of the case:

As you can see, the design is modular: the backlight, the image sensor with the processor and the communication module are located separately. Boards are fastened to each other using long cylindrical screws with an internal thread:

At first it may seem that the installation is not neat and all sorts of “snot” will not benefit the camera. But this is a feature of all modular designs, but more expensive cameras use more compact cables. In addition, the wires here are of sufficient quality, all connectors have clamps, so there should be no problems during operation:

Of greatest interest is the middle module, which contains a video sensor with optics, a processor, RAM, a flash drive with firmware, and power stabilizers:

Here there are no complaints about the installation: the soldering is even, neat, the flux is washed off. Back side of the board:

As you can see, a small heatsink is installed on the processor using hot melt glue, which removes heat inside the case. The processor does not get very hot, but when you hold your finger for a long time, it becomes a little uncomfortable. Large enough distances between the modules allow installing a more overall radiator, so it would be desirable to modify the cooling system. A twisted braid made of copper wires, fixed from the inside of the case, as implemented in LED car headlights, would look very useful here. It would be efficient enough to dissipate heat directly to the case. There is one caveat to improving the cooling. the radiator is set firmly, not on the “chewing gum”, so problems may arise. Be that as it may, or long-term testing of the camera at home, no elevated temperature was noticed, and even with an outdoor installation it will not be even more so.

For wireless image transmission, the Realtek RTL8192DU controller is provided:

Appearance:

The IP camera is made in the usual white cylindrical body and practically does not differ from its counterparts:

Since, nevertheless, the main purpose of the camera is outdoor video surveillance, the case here is metal, which protects the filling from all kinds of external influences, and all detachable connections are equipped with sealing rubber bands. In the front there is a black sun visor that protects the picture from all kinds of glare:

As you can see, in this model, instead of a whole handful of small indicator LEDs, three sufficiently powerful infrared LEDs are used. At the bottom there is a light sensor on a photoresistor. I would like to note that when working at night with the infrared illumination on, the three LEDs are clearly visible, especially in pitch darkness.

There are sockets for connecting Wi-Fi antennas at the rear end of the head:

Since there are two antennas, you can hope for good, reliable reception. When there is no need for wireless transmission, the camera has a standard RJ45 connector for twisted pair connection. Next to it there is a power connector (DC 5mm) and a reset button:

In the desired position, the inner sleeve fixes the hinge and is tightened with two screws. Any angle can be set.

An attempt to build a home video surveillance or IP camera Szsinocam SN-IPC-3019FBSW13 with a resolution of 4MP

I greet everyone who looked at the light. The review will focus on, as you probably already guessed, a good IP camera Szsinocam SN-IPC-3019FBSW13, which has a resolution of 4MP and a wireless data transmission module. Who is interested in how the IP camera has shown itself in work, you are welcome under the cut.

Connection:

There are several ways to connect the SN-IPC-3019FBSW13 IP camera, but I will describe only the simplest ones. The main goal is to get (find out) the IP address of the camera, with which you can enter the settings management. The easiest way is to connect the camera via a LAN cable directly to the computer and enter the default IP address in the browser line, which is indicated on the case or box:

There is one BUT here. this IP address may not respond, so I recommend resetting the camera settings by holding down the reset button for a few seconds. It happens that this does not help either, so let’s move on. As you know, if DHCP is activated in the settings (it is on by default), the camera will automatically receive an IP address, so we also connect the camera via a LAN cable directly to a computer or router. You can find out the automatically issued IP address in the WEB interface of the router (only when connected via a router) or using the SearchTools program (in both cases):

After finding the camera, double-click on the line with the camera and get into the Internet Explorer browser. For those who have the “Donkey” removed or disabled, it can be replaced by a regular browser, for example, Chrome, Opera and Mozilla. But here it should be noted that even with the installation of the ActiveX plug-in, the operation of the camera’s WEB interface is obtained through time. This problem can be solved by emulating Internet Explorer by installing the IE Tab extension for the Chrome browser or for the “new” Opera:

To enter the camera’s WEB interface, remember the IP issued to the camera and enter this address in the browser line. This will open an access window, the login / password is usually admin / admin:

After logging in, we get a fairly simple WEB interface with the ability to view, record, change camera settings and much more:

At this stage, let’s take a closer look at the settings. I recommend choosing English to make everything clear:

The “Video Setup” tab is responsible for setting the picture quality of the main (HD) and additional (SD) streams (Video mode). Here you can select the resolution, bitrate of video streams, select the compression codec, frame rate per second, set the frequency of the main (I) frames, i.e. those frames that practically do not lose anything in quality. The “Color Setup” tab is responsible for setting the image processing. These are brightness, contrast, stabilization, noise reduction, etc. Next comes the “Privacy Mask” tab, which allows you to set the spots you don’t want to record. Well, the “OSD Setup” tab, which allows you to customize the information displayed on the screen (date, time). There is also the “ROI” tab or, as they say, “area of interest”. the exact opposite of the “masking” function. Its essence lies in the fact that only the necessary sections are recorded. For example, when recording the entrance to a parking lot, there is no need to waste recording of empty lawns on the sides, so they can be removed to reduce traffic. The function is useful, but, unfortunately, it did not work for me.

This is followed by the second section of settings responsible for connection and remote control:

Here, in principle, everything is clear: automatic obtaining or manual setting of the IP address, Wi-Fi parameters, remote access to the camera and some others. This is where I would like to stay wirelessly. After selecting the desired access point from the list and entering the access data, you can disconnect the LAN cable. the camera will work via a wireless Wi-Fi connection. My connection worked confidently throughout the apartment, but at a great distance, short-term fading of the picture appeared. Despite the two remote antennas, the assessment of the communication level is “good”, but here a lot depends on the router as well.

A proprietary program NVClient is supplied with the camera on a CD. It also knows how to find “its” cameras, so the first time you connect, you can use it instead of SearchTools:

The program interface is quite simple, it is possible to simultaneously display images from several cameras, schedule recording and other features:

The settings window is slightly different from the standard one, the translation into Russian is terrible, so I recommend switching to English:

As you can see, there is nothing difficult about connecting the camera. You just need to remember that until the IP address of the camera is known (the default IP address does not always respond), none of its settings can be changed. You can view the IP when connected via a LAN cable to a router or computer using the SearchTools, NVClient programs or in the WEB interface of the router. By entering this IP address into the browser line, a WEB interface with a viewer and settings will open. The proprietary NVClient program has direct access to the settings.

Next in line is remote viewing using the CamViews application or any other for Android OS. Searching for a tuned camera and control is as easy as shelling pears:

At HD resolution of the smartphone / tablet screen and below, the additional stream (SD) is automatically turned on, at FullHD resolution, both the main stream (HD) and the additional stream (SD) are available. In my old Galaxy S3, the screen resolution is 1280×720 (HD), so the main stream is not activated. When you rotate the smartphone, the picture takes up almost the entire screen area:

The quality of the additional stream can be adjusted at your discretion in the camera settings.
